I'm not saying to replace them on all the old vehicles (I.e. recall), just replace them when broken and requested, extend the warranty on this part through a TSB to 5 or 7 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But there's no excuse to continue to produce a defective part when they are aware
Hard to believe its cheaper to produce and repair defective sun visor mounts as opposed to a tried and true solution used in virtually every other vehicle. I'd like to meet the bean counter who rejects the notion of building a foolproof version going forward . . .
Very nice!! As I said, there's a hundred ways to reengineer a fix here, surprised Jeep - known for their great engineering - lets this simple annoying problem go unresolved from the factory, at a huge warranty cost I'm sure
While some of us can install Jeep lift kits in our garage, others couldn't swap out a light switch for a dimmer switch if their life depended on it. It's insane Stellantis let's this defect go unresolved and 'assumes' the fix will be people doing their own repairs.
2019 2-dr JL and I have had 3 broken sun-visors in 3 years of ownership - 2 drivers side, 1 passengers side which hardly ever gets used. These sun-visors come loose on the metal pivot point due to poor engineering. There are 100 ways to make them sturdier, why doesn't Jeep wake up and fix the...
Have a 2019 2.0 Etorque, tried all fuel grades (87, 91, 93) in the first couple months of ownership, couldn't tell any real difference in performance or MPG's. Book says 87 is OK, so why would I put in anything more expensive in it? It's been over 2 years, love the jeep, not a thing ever wrong...
I mean wheel spacers, they kick out the wheels/tires making them look bigger. My Jeep is stock height, no lift, no suspension spacers. Actually not sure if I have 2" ones or 1.5". Either way, it kicks them out
If it makes you feel any better, my then brand new $60K Ram 1500 Ecodiesel Longhorn back in 2016 totally crapped out at 100 miles on the odometer. It wouldn't even run due to an electrical problem and needed to be towed back to my selling dealer. I basically wanted my old car back, but I...
I'll go one further, we get nothing but Jeep waves, thumbs up and compliments whether parked, at a light, or in motion. Our Jeep attracts nothing but love!
I drive red Jeep in Atlanta (it's technically my wife's), never had a single issue like the one OP describes. No disrespect intended, but if you're constantly getting cut off and honked at, pretty darn sure you're doing something wrong to provoke this behavior from a bunch of unrelated...
