All my stuff go in large heavy duty duffle bags, easy in and out when not camping. No sense in having all that weight in the jeep when not camping.

So. Much. Red!

Are they cheap by comparison? Cheaper than Yeti or Roam boxes, certainly, but the Wolf Pack Pro* is $10 less than their similarly-sized box.

* I’m currently leaning towards these largely because of this thread.
For boxes with built in modular or foam organization. My alternative used to be pelican cases, so it feels cheap by comparison. The locking stacking and mounting is also worth a few bucks to me.

We LOVE using the packouts for camping. basically keeps everything on the ready. I got a few pieces off of offerup too, so you can save by buying it used.
I know it’s good when my wife is impressed ?

We love that everything has a place both in and out of the Jeep. When boxes aren’t in use they hang nicely on the garage wall ready for next time

Thanks all for your input! Honestly, I could talk for days about storage boxes and organizing.

My Front Runner arrived today along with the foam inserts. It took me a solid hour to get all the foam cut to shape and everything organized into the box. It comes with 3 long pieces of foam and you cut 2 down to fit around the inside perimeter. It would be better if they had pre-cut foam for the perimeter with folds already in them. I have no idea why they don't do this. Instead you have to kind of guess/measure and hope it fits once you cut it and bend it.

The only items I couldn't fit were my new wash bins, roll of paper towels and my Coleman lantern (which really I can go without).

I may order the HI Lid which would allow me to fit those bins in there.

I'll see how it goes when camping but I think it's going to work great. Having these compartments is going to be awesome instead of having to remove everything from the bin to get to one item. ?

By any chance one of the Coleman liquid fuel lanterns? If so, think it would fit with the high lid?

Just an update on the Hi lid from Front Runner. I went over to their store today and picked one up. The guy warned me that they are tricky to fit onto the box at first. Something about the gasket. Once I got it on he said leave it in the sun for a couple of hours to get the box to mold against the lid. ?‍♀

I also asked why the perimeter foam doesn't come pre-fit and the guy said he thought it did and was surprised to hear that's not how the product is sent out. He made a note to talk to their engineers to see if this is something that can be done in the future. Who knows if anything will come of that but never hurts to suggest.

"leave in the sun a for a couple of hours"... guess I have to wait until next year! We might get a summer next year.

I think my biggest concern with the Wolf Pack Pro is by the time you get a high lid and foam, you're over $100.

Yeah it's pricey. I want a second one but will have to do without for now and use one of my clear tubs.

Reporting back after the camping trip. The Front Runner is awesome. Made life so much easier.

I'm now working on the most efficient way to fit everything into the Jeep. I bought a big tub when I got back to consolidate some of the loose items. The only thing I can't seem to fit is my folding table.

Anyone have suggestions on a lightweight, super compact camping table?

Thanks for the update, but are they bear proof?

A lot of the lightweight (e.g. aluminum top) tables I’ve looked at have problems with them bending. Right now, I just use a tailgate table.

They are bear proof! We had lots of bears roaming around at night and I left the Front Runner on the picnic table and they didn't get to it. I'd be impressed if they did open it as the hi lid seems to almost be human proof as well.
