I have those. I just used my handy pocket knife, but probably could have gotten a slightly neater result with a box cutter.

They're easier to cut when the Jeep's been sitting in the sun and they're nice and warm.
Ha, we just went through this. My wife started with her Jeep and I purchased an Exacto knife for the job. She tried to cut out with it and said it was horrible and she threw it away. She ended up hacking her's up with a steak knife and sawed the cut-outs and they look pretty bad.

I got the Exacto out of the trash, calmly walked to my Jeep and scored the cut out a coupled of time and popped them right out. Once she saw how to do it "properly" and went back in, I grabbed my box cutter and made short work out of it. The Exacto was way too slow but I wasn't going to let her see that.

I'm curious what everyone is using for storage on camping trips. I've been using 2 clear storage bins but want to find something I can organize better so everything isn't just loose inside. Makes it a pain to load everything back in.

I was looking at this Front Runner.

Also liked the idea of this divided ammo crate although seems a bit small.

What are you all using for your camping gear?
I'm a big fan of Grizzly Coolers and was on the site checking out Black Friday sales when I saw they offered some gear bags. I use hard sided mostly but picked up a Grizzly gear bag for the collection. Came today and really like it. Zippered mesh top is convenient...but likely means the bag will not spend the night out side the Jeep.

Storage in Jeeps is a big deal, and I used a few different options before I went to FrontRunner. They are my favorite now. Its nice to have boxes that can be used for different purposes. They are my camping table, my step ladder into the back of my jeep and to pull down my pop-up, and great for storage.

I also use cheap fabric toolbars from Harbor Freight ($7 ea). They are indestructible and small enough to pack under the seats, and elsewhere.

I've been using Plano cases for almost a decade now. I paid about $20 for the ones with the wheels. Can't believe they are still in decent condition. Still keeps the weather out.
They've been in hot desert, heavy rain, and heavy snow.
Had 2 wranglers since buying them.

Maybe I just need something to divide up the space in the clear containers. Smaller boxes inside of boxes.

i liked the Front Runner because it was wider than it was tall. I think it would make it easier to find things as opposed to digging around trying to get to the stuff underneath inside the plastic bins.
The FrontRunner boxes are pricey to be sure, but by a stroke of luck, they fit perfectly in the space next to my GooseGear fridge slider (see image). The slight bulge of the subwoofer stops them from sliding forward, so they end up perfectly nestled in the spot and don't need any straps or bungees to stay put. As if they were designed to go in this exact spot. I have the Pro versions, not sure if this applies to the regular ones.

I use them to store my kitchen. One contains the pots and stove, the other one various utensils and bowls. A Kelty Chef's roll nestles perfectly along the short axis (at bottom of picture below).

FrontRunner does make a set of dividers for these, and I have a set, but unless your items exactly match the sizes of the compartments, you're wasting precious space .As you can see, that wouldn't work for me, so I just kind of have my own ordering of how things fit together. The other bin, not shown, is even more compact.

My Frontrunner bin has been great. I've used it a few times since I bought it. I do have mine divided up though. It was a pain in the ass to set them up but I'm very happy with the results.

I bought myself one of those also. I used it twice thinking less boxes is better but I think I'm going to ditch it next trip. It takes up too much space in the 2dr plus it was just extra heavy.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
I just bought and installed Ironman4x4 drawers (ITD900UC - 900mm long, twin-drawer). They are really nice, and not too tall. My dog can still ride in the back, on top of the drawers.

I made a horizontal drawer in my Jeep so my dog can also ride in the back, like in my Toyota. With a carpeting cover, it is comfortable and convenient.

Just ordered two Sidio full and one half crate. Cost seemed pretty reasonable until I added the water resistant lids! Oh yeah and the bamboo cutting board .
