Stop start system failure light. A!…shows on dash after battery went dead. We read that it’s not a problem just that it won’t shut off when stopped in traffic. Can someone confirm please?

Which battery did you replace? Best to replace both at the same time.

We didn’t replace battery. Our brake buddy drained it while towing Jeep and we jumped it. All is good except the dash warning light.

Yes, there is a 2nd smaller motorcycle style battery that restarts the Jeep for the auto stop/start system. However, as it is connected to the electrical system it can cause numerous weird gremlins or in the worse case scenario you might get a message telling you your Jeep will stop running and to pull over immediatly. I see you haven't had any problems aside from auto stop start for a while, but you should consider changing that smaller battery out before problems start coming up. I haven't had to do it yet, but I've heard it is pretty simple if you go thru the fender vs thru the hood as it is under the main battery. Plenty of threads on here about how to do it.

You don't have the year of your Willys listed, but expect troubles to start creeping up when you get to about 3 years old.

Thank you for the help and advice.
