Where is the location of these terminals? Which side of the engine bay? Im assuming this is a starter solenoid, correct?

Thanks in advance!

I just paid a dealership in FL $500 to replace the relay for the same thing! My pics are the same as everyone else! Said it could not have possible come from factory that way! @JeepCares ...please help me out. This relay short is EVERYWHERE but FL says it was my problem.

My Start/Stop Unavailable, Service Start/Stop, check engine light, and Electronic Throttle Control light all popped up this morning on my way work, @ 1451 miles. I haven't even had this JLUR for a month. Calling and making an appointment at the dealership this morning. Grrrr.

After reading multiple posts and having one of the first 2018 builds i was worried i was going to run into problem this and yesterday i did :( .
The auto-start indicator and battery icon were illuminated and battery was only around 11.5v. Looks like my ESS battery and alternator are being replaced at only 5 months old 7500miles.
Honestly im glad it happened when it did though as ive been doing a ton of solo 8+ hr off-road and overlanding trips in the middle of nowhere and this happening was always in the back of my mind so im glad it happened when i was at home. Lets hope this replacement battery is of better quality than the original or ill likely be replacing them each year due to the high Phoenix temps

DO go to the fuse box (power distribution center) next to the main battery and take the cap off. Now, press down firmly on every fuse in there. You will find fuses there that are not seated properly. Do not take it for granted the dealer tech has done this as undoubtedly he has not.

You may very well find that the issue you are having will be remedied by properly seating the fuses.
HO-LY COW. I have a 21 JLUR I’ve had for a yr. I thought it was kind of weird that my ESS almost never kicked in at a stop light, but I was actually pleased bc I didn’t want it on(but never needed to click the button to disable it since it never kicked in). (I’ve also had ess disabled ‘A light w circle’ com on on dash time to time, but but it always went away eventually) Well, after reading this, I checked my fuse box and LITERALLY HALF of the fuses were not fully pushed in?!! WTF??! Since then, the ess kicks on at EVERY stoplight and my jeep ALSO feels like it has much more power. This is crazy. I have a manual btw and now have more predictable throttle response from a stop. I only wonder if this has anything to do w the pressure plate issues they have had to recall. I will say I have driven manuals and motorcycles my whole life, but w this car I have NEVER, before today, been able to get smooth engagement of clutch from a stop, and b/w gears, and this fuse pushing in seems to have made a HUGE difference in the way it is shifting 🤔🤔🤔
