I have been doing searches & investigating about this on there...BUT not finding exactly the info I am needing. I have a 2019 JLUR with the OEM steering Box (Assuming the Aluminum one).

Ok, I plan to go to 37s from the 315s I have now when these tires need to be replaced. I plan to upgrade to the Steer Smarts Yeti XD Pro-Series Aluminum Tie-Rod Assembly but asking do I NEED to upgrade to the Steer Smarts Yeti XD Pro-Series Adjustable Front Track Bar? When I did my lift last year I got the Rough Country Front Forged Adjustable Track Bar, so it is pretty much brand new.

BUT I also want to know if it is recommended to get the Steer Smarts Yeti XD Sector Shaft Brace w/ Frame Side Track Bar Bracket (Aluminum Steering Box Only), which I assume I would need to get the Steer Smarts Yeti XD Pro-Series Adjustable Front Track Bar anyway as the Rough Country is probably not compatable.

Input please

Hey Marshall,
I would leave the track bar for now, run it till it wears out.. I would do drag link and tie rod together…… the SS yeti brace will work with any track bar… if you have a lot of miles on it I would start saving up for ball joints as well….

in on my second year of 37's with only an upgraded drag link and track bar. zero issues with steering. I do moderate to hard trails. I will be hitting the rubicon this late summer/fall. It really depends on the wheeling type you plan to do. BTW i am running the factory aluminum steering box on my 18 jlu. biggest upgrade you can do is a set of dynatrac HD ball joints. changed the way the jeep feels quite a bit

Thanks @Roky & @Maverick909! What "Drag Link" are you both speaking about?

As for the Dynatrac HD ball joints, I had already planned to have to do this as I have 114K miles on the Jeep...BUT I did do the test and NO play/wiggle right now.

If you’re going with Yeti, then just get yeti drag link too…you can run whichever brand , I was just suggesting to replace the drag link and tie rod at the same time…especially with that many miles…

Between 2 different JLs I have over 100,000 miles on 37" tires and the only upgrade to the suspension (besides the lift kit coils and shocks) has been the Yeti front track bar and rear track bar relation bracket. I'm still using the stock drag link, sway bar, and tie rod. In the JK version it was a good idea to replace all of these when going to 37s but the stock JL ones are a pretty good improvement over the JK ones and IMO are sufficient for 37s. That said, as mentioned above, replacing the ball joints is a good idea. Mine don't have any play in them but by the wear on my tires I have a feeling that they are on their way out.

Sector shaft brace is always a nice add on regardless and have added this to all my rigs. Even my current one awaiting psc will have it, all working with some different hw.

As far as the rest goes, as someone stated above, all depends on what you're doing with the rig. 37s can definitely work with stock components but not optimal depending on what type of wheeling or have some good sized potholes/bumps in your local area. You will notice the hits and vibrations much more on stock components.

I done it in the past, even ran 40s for a short time on stock steering on my JLURD but even before I had a chance to hit the dirt, realized I needed something that would hold up better.

Ok…thank all for the input!

I also upgraded to both Rough Country Front and Rear Adjustable Track Bars when I did the lift .

I unfortunately won’t be doing any off-roading in the foreseeable future, even after going to 37s so I will be pretty much a daily driver on the highway for the most part here in Central FL….so going by that…what’s the final recommendation? 😇

Ball Joints...Looks like Dynatrac offers Dynatrac Ball Joint Kit w/ Install Tool Package - JT/JL and
Dynatrac HD ProSteer Ball Joint Kit - JT/JL ... Which is recommended?

I had the Dynatrac HD Ball Joints installed on my '21 Rubicon after I went to 37s and they made a noticeable improvement in the steering and driving on mine. Everything felt substantially tighter and more responsive vs the OEM Ball Joints with the plastic inserts.
