Just left the dealer.
I pointed out what was happening, they lightly pressed on the channel and saw it pop out, then ordered replacements. ????
Glad to hear it! Not all dealerships address this the same way, so just glad they did the right thing.

I found this thread after posting one of my own. I’ve had mine for 2 weeks. Mine pops off the front of the guide track when I snap in the flaps at the bottom of the window. Now I’m worried it will worsen and fly off when I’m driving at some point. I also worry that the longer this happens, the rubber track will develop a crease to make it come off

The only thing I can think to do is take the window off, clip it and blow a hairdryer on it to try to mold the clip a little tighter.

You may be able to get that replaced under warranty, especially since it's so fuckin new.

Because that's definitely not how that is supposed to work. lol

Also, I think it's in this thread, but you should look for the one where the dude figured out a zip tie method to help insure they won't fly away again.

Mine hasn’t flown away. It just comes undone when I seal it into place. I saw the post where the guy installed a copper fastener, but I’m not quite clear on the process. I really was trying to avoid taking it to the dealer if possible so I didn’t have to go without it for awhile.

To be clear, it’s fully in the track until I snap in the plastic flap at the bottom of the window.

Hasn't flown away, correct. But it's already coming undone while you snap it together which shouldn't happen.
I don't know about the copper fastener, but this post is where a guy zip tied is quarter windows and it helped him out.

And of course nobody wants to deal with warranty work, but altering the windows might void a warranty.

YMMV but just a thought. Definitely check that post out though.

It looks like that just keeps it from blowing away and being destroyed by traffic. While this is important, it doesn’t address the track issue and involves drilling a hole in the window paneling… which, as you said, could affect the warranty.

Yeah, you just got unlucky with a weak C channel. :headbang:
Which is why I would just get a warranty claim going. ??

OH are you installing the windows with the safari top fully closed?? If you are, try installing the windows with the sunrider popped up. Not folded back, just let the lift assist pop the top up in that weird 30° position it does, and then try installing the window.
It’ll relieve some pressure on the top and may help you to install your quarter windows without them popping out of the C channel. I had to do that with mine.
I’ve been rocking a Bestop Slantback for the summer and completely forgot.

Just obviously after closing the safari top back up check the C channels again ??

Hope it helps!! Good luck!

Apologies if you've mentioned this before and I missed it, but have you tried unhooking and loosening the front clips on the soft top (by the windshield visors) before putting the window panels in place? If not, you might try that. You don't have to flip the front completely back, just take some tension off of everything. Then, if the window goes in as expected, reattach those front clips last.

Barring that, yeah, I think it's a warranty thing. Something seems very much out of alignment.

You both came up with similar solutions at the same time. I just took off my window and it looks like there’s a widening of the C channel. That’s probably where it’s weakening. I’m gonna try clamping it and using a hairdryer on it.

I recently had this problem on my 2024. For me, I eventually found it to be this:

Over the rear window panels, there is a crossbar in the soft top that runs from driver to passenger side. The top itself (the canvas material) is attached to that crossbar. However, although attached, the top has some room to slide a bit in the direction away from the side panel window you are having problems with and towards the center of car. A little tug on the top to get it to slide the final inch towards the side of the car and side window panel, and voila. Suddenly my side window fits perfectly again, and it’s no longer pulling off the track. For me, none of this was apparent at all until I gave the top that tug at the right spot, and then it all made sense.

Here we go. I’ll try the tugging thing as well.

these were my thoughts. i cut a notch in my green tabs and haven’t had a blow out since. i think the problem is multi factorial however it’s interesting that there’s less blow out threads since jeep started cutting a chunk out of their tabs.

hope i added the link correctly. if not, mods could you help fix??

This is why I love this forum. Here I was convinced I was going to spend a day at the dealer and have to wait for a replacement. Here, I had 3 possible solutions within an hour.

So, I clamped it for an hour and used a hairdryer to try to mold the C track a little tighter. While that was going on I went out and tugged the top a little closer to the right side. Sure enough, there was a slight amount of shifting. Lastly, when I installed everything again I unlatched and lifted the front end of the top to decrease some of the tension. It’s now installed correctly and sealed away. I even discovered the notched green tab around the rear corner of the window that I hadn’t seen before but saw earlier in this thread. Thank you forum goers! Hopefully this is a long term fix and not just a temporary bandaid.

Yup, that's me. If the end of the tab that goes around the corner of the tub is not secured and the lower corner tab is not exactly in the right spot, the lower corner will pop out and the window goes. IMO if there is an issue with the upper channel it is because when the window blows out, the channel does not come out straight and puts pressure on it which causes the widening of the channel. 14 months since I drilled those two holes and I haven't lost one since.
