Soft top rear window issue.

My premium soft top rear window is ripping where the rubber piece slides into the rear window bar. I just kinda noticed this and don’t know how much it will want to continue to rip. Has anyone else had this problem? I doubt it would be a warranty thing because apparently that is a ridiculously difficult process. Also, any advice?

Totally not normal. My premium top is going into year six and is in perfect condition. Warranty is easy, unless your dealer sucks.

Yours is the first post I’ve seen with a premium top tearing. Several reports of the standard top ripping, but not the premium.

Mine is jacked up like that also.

Just get some leather repair kit (as they have waxed thick thread) and sow it back on. Just a few stitches will fix it up.

Any feedback on what you were able to do here? Mine is tearing along the rubber as well. All from the drivers side, none on passenger side. It’s because when you pull it to open, especially when new and stiff. I didn’t realize it was happening until it was too late.
