I have to call out Jeep on this one.

Instead of new promo photos for jeep.com, they go and photoshop the new grille onto an older Gladiator promo.

You have to be getting less air into the engine.

To be fair that entire first one was CGI to begin with. Properly took almost no effort to change it
I was beginning to suspect that.

As a marketing professional, I can confirm that the cost to re-shoot something like the original would be pretty hefty. Lots of logistics, etc.

It's significantly more cost-effective when doing a live shoot like that to ensure that you're capturing it in a way that it's easy to be updated/manipulated later to fit new goals, models, upgrades, etc.

This isn't "Jeep being lazy/cheap" - it's Jeep using industry best-practices to stretch their marketing budget further.

So why not just use one of the many new photos on the Jeep main page?

The original pic also has running boards. Updated pic has none or maybe sliders. I can’t tell. Different color badges on the side too.

They also changed the top color and the wheels
Ah, the ol’ switcher-roof’ski.
The guy who stole the half doors off of my old TJ tried something similar by swapping out the upper skins. Couldn’t hide the fact that my key still fit the locks, though. ?
