My next Wrangler will be a two-door JK with no heating and cooling, just as a Jeep should be!

If they ever made a barebones Wrangler, I might be interested, otherwise the company's heading in the wrong direction if you ask me!

Agreed. Unfortunately Wranglers are no longer purchased by people who need to get from point A to point B over any terrain, they are now for soccer moms and rich dudes with spotless undercarriages.

Is this true? I was holding out for the 2025 4xe update in the next couple of months. So not many changes to the 2025 model?

The only significant thing mentioned by the UAW for MY '25 was improvements to the 4xe, but they're obviously only going to be talking about significant changes at that level. Jeep will, as usual, continue to do little tweaks to keep people coming in for the newer models.

It's got to be an incredibly tiny portion of Wrangler buyers that actually NEED that functionality. Most of us simply want that awesome ability and have fun being able to utilize it.

I hate to ask, but do you have any gouges in your Wrangler's undercarriage or is it actually fairly spotless from rock crawling perspective?

Without those people, Wrangler would cease to exist. They are the ones that buy in volume. They are the profitable customers. You enthusiasts that rabble about soccer moms aren't what keep Jeep going, whether you want to believe that or not.

Overall I’m very pleased with my 2024.

Here is what I don’t like about it:
ESS.
The auxiliary battery and it‘s joke of a location.
The cheesy washer/wiper connection for the hardtop.
The license plate mounting system, front and rear - self tapping screw in plastic bumper cover.

Ain’t gonna happen but I would be happy if these deficiencies were fixed For 2025 and beyond.

I do agree with you, some general sales are good, I just wish Jeep wouldn't keep going the direction they are. I don't mind them catering to the dudes who want to spend 60k 80k 100K on their Wrangler, I just wish they'd leave some of the older more preferred options by those of us who don't need all those fancy thingamagigs.

Oh well, that's why my next Wrangler is going to be a JK! Or maybe a TJ, I haven't decided yet. Either way two door, no AC!

I'm at work right now so I can't really send you any pictures, I definitely got some scuffs and scrapes. No gouges whoever, I avoid gouges if I can help it.

I'm trying to avoid any gouges until I get some proper under armor.

These farm roads in Texas, some of them are no joke. Think of it like your forrest roads out there in Colorado, they have varying degrees of obstacles.

Though no rock crawling yet. Maybe that'll be different after this weekend.

Thinking about the ordering process during the YJ era, as late as 1995, it seems like the late Cretaceous.

Carpeting, and the rear bench seat, were both optional. Half doors and soft uppers were standard; full-size doors were a rare and pricey option that many of us chuckled at. Mine had A/C and a radio delete.

Without those people, Wrangler would cease to exist. They are the ones that buy in volume. They are the profitable customers. You enthusiasts that rabble about soccer moms aren't what keep Jeep going, whether you want to believe that or not.

Those generations -- available with 2 doors only, gasp! -- sold in great numbers every year...certainly enough to keep them in sustained production. I remember. I was there. Observing the owners' experiences as a child is what informed my decision to purchase a new YJ.

The softened-up JK and JL-generation Jeeps are indeed more dependent on so-called mall crawler buyers because that's for whom the vehicles have been adapted to appeal. They are the target market now, intentionally.

Yes, the loss of that particular consumer segment might indeed threaten the future of the Wrangler. That's hardly anything to proudly proclaim. This is an enthusiast forum, yes?
