False Rumors

We have been tracking rumors for what seems like years. Now that it's been released, we are finding that a lot of the rumors are true. But some of them aren't;

- the new jeep will switch to IFS
- The true soft top will go away
- the body will be replaced by a crossover style car body with better aerodynamics
- the diesel is dead because of the sanctions against FCA
- there will be a panoramic glass sunroof
- no more folding windshield
- the body will be all aluminum to reduce weight
- one of the colors will be dozer
- The unlimited will be 9 inches longer
- the wrangler will no longer be made in Toledo

-there will be no manual transmission option
-it would get the cutesy Renegade tail-lights
-it would get a higher tow rating
-it would get articulink rear suspension
-there would be much more rake in the grill and windshield for improved aerodynamics (the new rake is as mild as could possibly be)
-there would be electric power steering so no road feel (we got electro-hydraulic instead)

What's crazy is when you look at it, there IS a lot of JL in there, but the grille is what kills any notion that this would be anything remotely final.
