Maybe a transmission from a diesel ram..
I'm assuming the power from the electric motor would help, even with the added weight.
You mentioned high range. That's not a characteristic of what you're describing. The mileage of the 4xe is pretty bad on the highway.

My ecodiesel was getting 440+ mile to the tank when stock.

My ecodiesel was getting 440+ mile to the tank when stock.
When you turn an ICE-based vehicle into a hybrid you end up with something like the 4xe: great for short trips, but at the cost of range. And, of course, complexity.

An REPB with a small 4cyl diesel would be highly efficient. As a rule of thumb we carried enough for 1 gal per hour for our refrigeration units. Padded in excess of high use in 100+ temperatures.

Absolutely. You have an opportunity to greatly simplify and optimize with that approach. It's a different paradigm than turning something into a hybrid and expecting magic.

Hybrids like the 4xe are focused on very short drives, not extended range.
