I'm considering ordering a Rubicon X Unlimited but wondering if there are any rumors out about what might change in 2025's model. Also wondering how much longer I can wait to order a 2024.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
2025s will all have V8-hybrids with 500hp/500tq and get 30mpg. Hope that helps indeedy.

To answer the question:
The only rumors that I am aware of are upgrades to the 4xe, which may include something involving the 3.6 engine.
FCA has announced a RAM pickup that will be using the 3.6L as a generator. It will have 2 electric motors that have a combined horsepower of 663, 615lbs of torque, range of 690 miles using gas and electric, 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and a towing capacity of 14,000 lbs. it will be available in 2025. The 3.6L will not be connected to the driveline. It is called the Ramcharger and from what I read the starting price will be around $55K.

Edit: The 663hp rating is for the electric motors only, the 3.6L is not part of the HP rating.

If you can order with a no or refundable down do it as late as possible so the 25 changes will be announced in time to decide to reorder or not in case of change you like or dislike. Unfortunately all changes are not announced and the unknown can get you as it did me upon XR pkg announcement when mine was in build. Which was a during model year change that they are more commonly doing so what you don’t know can get you either way.

If you can get a Wrangler you like today, you should not wait. Jeep is totally psycho these days with adding/dropping features every other month.
Yep. I've said before that what's available for a Wrangler order may literally depend on the day that the buyer's configuration is entered into the dealer's system.

Colors like Punk'n and Tuscadero come and go with the wind, as do engine block heaters, vinyl seating, heavy duty flooring and so on. It's a bit surprising that the costly half door/soft upper option has lasted as long as it has. Then again, the $4K sliding fabric sunroof has had similar staying power, so...

Yes, some of the Here Today/Gone Tomorrow option availability may be linked to lingering supply chain issues, but the fact remains that time isn't on the buyer's side here.

Apparently the 2.0L is no longer available on a 2024 order, only 4xe and 3.6. The 2.0 should be back for 2025 orders when they start taking them

You're getting alot of ribbing, but seriously, I dont like the new grill that was introduced for 2024. It looks like a Renegade. I'll wave at you in my 2023 High Tide but I'll be holding back my disgust.
