Yeah, when you get a hard top, it comes "installed" on the Jeep of course, with the soft top taking up the rest of the rear. It's a pretty big box and the seats are folded down.

I wish I had done that actually, ordered the hard top, which I really like (especially with the sun rider top), and then the half doors, which would be packed in the back. I could have always ordered the soft top later.

I do enjoy both for sure, but you can at least get the soft top afterward, but those half-doors are unobtanium in the after-market or even with the dealer.
Looks like I'm going to have to readjust mu budget...I have a condominium with no place to store the hard top but the half doors can fit at my place. I probably might sell the hardtop or see if a friend helps me put it up there...

It might not be ideal in your case, but I have read on this site that guys will rent those storage places and keep their hardtop in there. One guy bought a scaffold at Harbor Freight and used that to slide the top off and then push the scaffold into his rental storage shed.

https://www.harborfreight.com/build...lb-capacity-multi-purpose-scaffold-63050.html

You could probably fashion a door carrier/holder thing and store your full doors and half doors there -especially if you have to climb stairs in your condo!

I got this set up for the hard top and my doors (running tube doors at the moment). It costs much more than the HF scaffold, but its also purpose-built. Of course this all hinges on having the storage space and being able to rent a space at least.

I feel like I read about a guy who has a summer place in Florida and keeps his soft top and half-doors there and uses the hard top and full doors when he is up north. He stops by his rental unit, swaps doors, swaps tops, and then is ready to rock the warm weather. When it's time to head back up north, he swaps back to the hard doors/top and away he goes.

Ive heard rumors every time a thread like this is posted they hold the REALLY good stuff for another 3 model years so now you fucked the rest of us.
I recently started lurking this site, and THIS post RIGHT here made me pull the trigger and register as a member.

Too many forums have gone so woke and PC it’s ridiculous. Being Mean, for no reason than to be Mean is one thing, but I don’t know anyone here yet, and still understand the context in which this was posted, other sites I have been on, there would have been ****** instead of a word, or the post deleted 🙄

I saw they will replace the Hydro Blue with maybe something worse Phantom Blue-I think. Wish they just came back out with Ocean or even deep Blue Pearl. No Hurricane engine yet that I saw

Yes, the I4 Hurricane will be there. But maybe you were thinking that they could magically fit the I6 Hurricane in there? Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

Not for '25, but for '26... 3-cylinder Hurricane standard on Sport. The 2.0 is now an additional cost option, only available on Rubicon. Meets tightening CAFE targets.

That's what's so great about the Hurricane, totally modular. Add two cylinders, you've got a 3.0. Subtract 3 cylinders, you've got a 1.5. At least it doesn't sound like a 4-cylinder! SO, engine choices will be 1.5, or 2.0 if you pony up for the $3,000 option cost. And the boat anchor 3.6 has finally been cut free. Ahoy!

😁

Nope….not gonna happen unless they make it a 3XE. Not enough HP…any fuel savings would be eliminated by the weight/power ratio.

retired, grumpy, yet, friendly
pretty confident by 2025 and beyond, they will be pushing $100,000 loaded, without the 392

I think the JL will remain about the same as it winds down. Three engines, 3.6 v, 2.0 I4, and the 4ex engine. The next Wrangler will be the J70 in 2028 (2029 model?). I think there will be a shake up in the engine department, probably the end of the 3.6 v6. There is talk of only EV’s and hybrids.

I'm considering ordering a Rubicon X Unlimited but wondering if there are any rumors out about what might change in 2025's model. Also wondering how much longer I can wait to order a 2024.
the 2024 itself was a cosmetic overhaul and a bunch of tweaks like the hood vent. that costs a lot of money to do and its unlikely there will be any major changes for a few years yet outside of drive train options.

The REPB could be compelling. We'll see.

Judging by the Ramcharger’s numbers it should be superior to the current hybrids. Plus the non propulsion ice falls under different standards, although regrettably I don’t recall how.

do you really think the T-6 will be a future standard engine option ? With the 25 GC not getting it… yet… but if the GC gets an SRT’ish higher dollar model, then perhaps a 392’ish higher dollar model will be made. 2c
