Rust is why my TJ became a JLI bought Nfab aluminium, I live in Ohio. No more rust. That's part of the reason that I traded the JK for the JL. Less steel to rust.

If you are suggesting that you should expect rust after 4 months then I disagree. Your comment is pretty funny tho.I just realized this morning that the apples I bought from the grocery store have gone bad. It only took two weeks!!! I’ve called my attorney to pursue legal action. This is completely unacceptable.
When I bought it, nothing on their website said about e-coating. I even have the screenshots. If you get the frame mounted version for $50 more it’s e coated which won’t rust (according to them). The rust issue is on the body mounted version.
It’s new. Because they were rusting so they switched to a new setup. When I bought it, nothing on their website said about e-coating. I even have the screenshots.

It’s really common for powder coating to fail over time particularly if not done well. I agree it’s premature what you are experiencing and the manufacture should do something. So the buyer “only” needs to spend an additional $2-300 so the rails are adequately coated against rust? It’s all good?
In what alternative universe does that make sense?
LOL. You got great customer service because you were BUYING, not calling to complain about their inferior products.Mine have been on about a month, and so far no issues. Mine are the frame mounted ones with the new e coat I assume. Mine were actually damaged in shipping and had a decent scrape on them that I touched up myself. Even that spot still looks good. I do not live in an area with much moisture or salt on the roads though, so my experience may not be the same as everyone else's. I actually had great customer service from Roam, I am surprised everyone is having the issues they are as Anthony was very helpful for me.
I will be buying another set of the frame mounted sliders when my replacement JLUR comes in as well. I still feel these are the best looking step / slider combos you can get as the step itself is much larger and the mounting system is better for adjustability. The are also very solid and do a great job stopping the tires from pelting the side of my Jeep with rocks. But if the product is rusting For so many people none of these things will matter for those in areas where rust is an issue. For me it's not and would buy again, but I understand how those in other areas would be concerned. (I am from MO, and if I was there still my experience may be different) I also hate to hear the solution is to have them bed-lined etc. while that would solve the issue, it is not easy nor cheap for people to do. Maybe a good option would be to have these sold bare steel like Artec bumpers etc. and let the customer have them painted etc.
That sucks that so many people are having issues on here, I will keep an eye on mine and post if anything changes before my Jeep goes back to FCA. I hope everyone gets their issues resolved one way or another.
Actually my best service was after I bought. I reached out to ask for the updated bracket that did not require nutserts, and they sent them out at no cost. I bought mine back in Feb. and did not install until about a month ago. Even long after buying they sent me the updated bracket at no cost and pretty quick.LOL. You got great customer service because you were BUYING, not calling to complain about their inferior products.
If I were shopping for sliders and was sympathetic to the others having these issues and not getting any help from the company, I wouldn't support the company. I completely understand that not everyone would feel the same way and I'm not trying to be the morality police.Mine have been on about a month, and so far no issues. Apples are supposed to go bad in a short period of time. Rock sliders aren't.I just realized this morning that the apples I bought from the grocery store have gone bad. It only took two weeks!!! I’ve called my attorney to pursue legal action. This is completely unacceptable.
