So can you order these steps and get them in a reasonable time frame or no? I’m reading nothing but stories of people waiting months for them which I’m not willing to do.

The long wait is for the frame mounted ones. If you want the body mounted ones they are in stock I believe.

Do they look exactly the same? I know one is more solid than the other being frame mounted but if the looks are equal then I’m happy to order the ones in stock.

Anyone have side by side pics of these?

From the various posts and such, to my eyes, they look identical. Atleast from the standpoint of the top and sides they look the same.

I installed my Roam sidesteps today. Very easy install and I painted my backing plate red to match the Rubicon and Trail Rated badge.

@ thundermuffin - Thanks for the awesome write up. It really helped me get through this install quickly knowing where the bolts went ahead of time versus trying to figure it out on the fly. I really like how the steps turned out and it makes it so much easier to get in a out of my Jeep!

My first mod on day 2 of ownership.

Is there a video or step by step instructions on how to take off the stock Rubi sliders and how to install the body mounted Roam steps? Need some steps badly but don’t want to bite off more than I can chew w install.

Been looking for Side Steps ever since I picked up my Rubicon from the dealer a couple weeks ago. I think I've finally landed on these ROAM ones. Love the way they look and the LEDs are a nice little perk. I would like the frame mounted ones but it looks like you can't even order them from their website. What are the main differences (other than price) between the body mounted and frame mounted?

Mine arrived with 2 one hole brackets and 4 three hole brackets. @ROAM are the 2 and 3 hole brackets different lengths as well? (I'm guessing they are). And thanks to @thundermuffin for great instructions and @BWWJL for the parts list (since I need to go get a few bolts that were lacking)

Got mine finished up. Way easier than I thought. I saved the lights for another day though.

Anyone know of a good YouTube video or instructions that a normal joe can understand to wire up the lights for these steps. Would love to give it a shot before I have to pay a professional.

Out of curiosity, has anyone banged up their body mounted side steps on rocks yet? I think I saw someone with frame mounted take some hits. Curious how these have held up. Thanks.
