Poll: Bubbles in Paint??

I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once. So, I guess I can be an expert.
In theory, as long as the metal, that would be corroding, is in contact with the Sacrificial Anode, the anode would corrode first, and continues to corrode, until removed, or completely disintegrated.

Sounds good to me. I'm always up for a good Sacrifice. Lol.

When this first bubbling is discovered, it is worse than finding your first "Door Ding" on a new car.

*note: Jeep is not garage-kept, but it is under a carport and does not receive direct light when I'm home.

I waxed the Jeep today and upon close inspection I found the bubbles on the hinge and bottom of the door: all on the passenger side. No bubbles at all on the driver's side. There is a tree that blocks the sun in the east, as the Jeep is under a carport. However, when the sun sets in the west, there's no coverage.

One small bubble lower right front edge of hood. Noticed yesterday. Thought it might be just paint run but then looked under hood edge so looks like I’m in for a tri to the dealership.

I would scrape that and touch it up before it spreads to the top of the hood.

All car manufacturers are suffering from this corrosion, they are exploring lighter metals in order to try and meet stringent gov't regulations for gas savings. My friend owns a 2019 Audi and it's entire bumper is peeling along the front bumper line and my brothers 2018 Ford Explorer has it on the hood and lower doors.

My story - 2018 JLUR Firecracker Red.
All hinges on hood and doors and body and tailgate except one replaced (lower tailgate one was fine). All doors replaced. Hood and tailgate replaced. And windshield frame replaced as well just recently. All in all took around 2.5 months in the bodyshop maybe to get everything repaired. Paint job is fine except drivers door...has 2 spots with dust underneath which will probably bubble up but I'll take care if it before the 5 yr warranty expires.

Yep 2020 sting gray seen first one little under two years had a ceramic coating on it a month after buying it. Tailgate hinge, bottom of passenger rear door and both front doors. Returning jeep after lease.

Sorry to hear that. From what I've read, Jeeps that are kept garaged all the time are also getting bubbles in the paint. The humidity alone is enough to start the electro chemical reaction. Yeaaa Jeep.

Yours has very obvious missing paint where hinge meets doors. If only they had bothered to paint under the hinges, it may have retarded the progress

Just got back from dealer, pictures taken by dealer and sent for cost analyses and approval. dealer said it was corrosion .
