Hey! Did you ever manage to wire an amber turn signal function?! Really was hoping this was the solution other than the QuakeLED & Form LED “light hack mode”
Earlier this year after a longer boring winter I pulled back my soft top to give the Jeep a good clean. I noticed that two of the bracket for the soft top had a crack, so I enquired with my dealership about replacing.
I was told by the parts manager that the brackets were not sold individually...
Almost 6 months to the day that I picked up the Jeep from it’s third paint job…
It’s showing signs of returning again…
Right side of the hood, and right front passenger…
I don’t feel like it was shady as much as incompetence. I just assume a dealer is up on all this, when the reality is they have to service Chryslers, RAM, Jeep etc.
Gross oversight, but it does leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Thank God for this sight and the people who share what they know...
So update for those interested:
Cannot just replace cracked bracket…
Have to replace entire rail around rear door and the plastic parts are almost $800….
Without labor.
Super glue anyone??
Awww man. That sucks.
Fortunately nothing is technically wrong, I just happened to be up there cleaning and saw the cracks. I hope this doesn’t start something.
Thanks…my Jeep came with the Premium Soft Top only, and I have never removed it completely, so I haven’t tightened anything. As is…just turned 4 last week.
So having just had a few blazing hot days here in Boston last week, I had the top down! It was very dusty up there, so when I got home I stood in the back to do a clean and noticed that two brackets opposite each other are starting to fail…
Anyone else come across this phenomenon?!
Just picked up my 2019 after it’s third paint job…
First time it returned after 13 weeks…
Second time after 16 weeks…
Third time a charm??
🤞🏼
