I went Willy's in blue with the XR package and also the sound and sun package which is actually a real good deal. Only wish it came with a front camera option
Do you have a photo of your Jeep? I had considered Hydro.

As someone that had a Bronco reservation, the price difference (depending on options) was minor, and the Jeep was less expensive, twice (yeah, I ordered a 2021 and 2022 JLR and they were both much less expensive than the Bronco).
That must be a West Coast thing. Because in any other World the Bronco is way less expensive. When you really compare what you're truly getting. Especially if you go Base + Sasquatch.

It's funny that Ford even calls it Base because in reality there's nothing "Base" about it when compared to a Wrangler. Power one touch windows, locks, 8 inch touch screen that's fully loaded with all the latest tech and Sync 4, LED head lights, G.O.A.T modes, pilot 360. All standard.

Then you get with Sasquatch the front and rear Lockers, Lift, 4.70 gears, 1 pedal drive, trail turn assist, advanced 4 wheel drive with Bilstein shocks.

You're pretty much starting off with a Rubicon in Jeep world just to even start off with similar standard options as the Bronco.

Yeah, that was my point. I priced one out the other day and I was really surprised with what you get under 50k.

Ive owned both Jeeps and Fords. So I really consider myself unbias.

In a normal world without Markups.

In the Jeep world we have the option of significantly better than "no markups." Check the spreadsheet in my sig if you haven't.

Yeah I'm definitely non biased myself as well. I own both and like and enjoy both for different reasons but there's no comparison in price to standard options. Bronco wins hands down in that department.

It almost makes me wonder if Jeep has no choice to keep prices high because of the warranty issues they have been stuck fixing out of pocket over the years. Especially the corrosion issue. In the end I'm thinking the Jeep Wrangler buyers are the ones paying for those repairs up front each and every time they buy a Jeep with the inflated price.

That's the only rational reasoning I can come up with. Lol.

I'm sure there's infinite possibilities or better deals or negotiations / offers.

I'm going strictly based off of the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price.

COVID really changed things for the worst "temporarily". Once the Bronco is out of the honeymoon stage for buyers and supply meets demand. I would finally like to see fair / normal competition between both companies.

Thanks for the references to your link. I've seen it before. It's a good write up. ?

No one answered about the warranty yet so....
You're gonna buy a real Mopar warranty, you're only gonna buy the Maximum Care option, and you're gonna buy it from Tom Winkels after searching this forum for those details
He's "Our Guy" on this forum - and will treat you right straight away with easily the best price, contact him, wait for the response and buy it
If the dealership offers you one of those other brand "wishful thinking" warranties say "NO!" regardless of the lies they follow up with, from another response it sounds like your already in the Devils den to begin with over there :(
It's been said warranties are only sold because they make money for the seller - is there any product that doesn't fit that description ???
They are also sold to protect you, you know like car insurance, a life jacket, sunscreen, shoes...etc.
Good luck and, obviously its still your choice ;)

Tell me about it. My JLU had $10k+ of warranty issues within 15k miles. My JT needed an axle replaced under warranty within 5k miles. ?

But yet, I'm still here buying a 3rd Jeep. It's a love / hate.

I would like to stick with Jeep. I prefer the looks and solid axle suspension. In the end, it will come down to whether it falls apart or not.

Yeah. That sucks. Hopefully you have better luck with your 3rd. It's funny people scoff at the tie rods breaking in the Bronco but plenty of Jeeps have axle failures and other things. Most of the Bronco tie rod failures are due to lifting it especially improperly lifting it. The Sasquatch package wasn't designed to be lifted putting the tie rods on an extreme angle like that and causing unwanted tension.

It's definitely a love/hate like you said. I've always loved Jeeps. But they do have a lot of issues. I love the styling of Xtreme Recon Jeeps. Not really a fan of the 4 doors with small tires. But I feel the same about the Bronco. Love the Sasquatch package Bronco looks. Not so much with small tires. Too big, wide and brawny for small tires. They don't look good with the body lines. Almost look silly actually. Sasquatch is a must.

I think people get sucked in and stay in Jeeps because of community and all the solid axle hype. The IFS in the Bronco is pretty robust. And will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go. And let's be real 99% of people that buy these vehicles don't ever take them to there max limits.

Can't tell you..shhh
@Ratbert I found a new dealer to add to your spreadsheet. I got a quote from Chrysler of Culpeper in Culpeper VA for 9% under MSRP. They don't do tread lightly but they didn't tell me the discount was tied to their financing or anything like that. The salesman said that they regularly offer that cut on Wranglers. If I end up ordering from them I'll be able to add more about deposits and if they say I have to use their financing.

Edited to correct invoice to MSRP

Thanks for the update. I've added it to my backlog of changes to make once I get back to Colorado.

We're in Moab now and we're probably heading to Bryce Canyon NP, most likely followed by Zion NP. Fifth Moab run, but we've never been to the southwest parts of Utah.

Willys sport xr. Absolutely my favorite of all seven wranglers and cj’s ive owned. No need for more power on the interstate here in colorado. Getting 22 to 25 mpg on overage, depending on altitude

I ordered Willys Sport XR with hardtop, hitch, and slider/step. The only thing I wanted in addition was power locks. Did you or anyone add power locks after market? I have replaced so many window motors on various cars, the rollup windows are fine...

Hi everyone,

Ordered a Willys sport with xrecon package!! This is my first jeep and first post here :)

I was interested in 4XE Rubicon and test drove it and loved it. But didn't make much sense for me with the MPG on highways and my current charging situation (live in an apartment complex with no charging station) Then came across this amazing package which I thought would be a good trade off for a off road capable non Rubicon rig and save some money! What do you all think about it? I would love to take it to trails but no prior experience so wouldn't be doing anything crazy...

I am assuming 2.0 currently doesn't have electric motor on it and it's been proven for a while on jeep. I loved when I test drove and went with that option!
I would want not to modify it soon but already started looking in to tunes and exhausts :D

Also, what kind of warranty additions do you all suggest when I buy?

You will love it, my first Jeep was a Willy’s xr.

My suggestion for off-roading, join a local group. Go to their meet and greets. They will usually have a monthly outing and run a stocks group and modifieds group. My experience is modified will be pretty crazy and suggest sticking with stock runs for a while. You Jeep is fully capable of some great trips. My first outing, a guy in the modified group rolled his Jeep- they all seemed pretty proud of it as they all took pictures posting with the Jeep…me-I just made my 2nd payment on my Jeep! Uh-no thank you. I went with a small group to Kentucky a week ago and was expecting easy trails and progressively get harder. We spent 1.5 hour to get through 1 obstacle for 6 Jeeps. Our day trip went into a night trip quickly and my Jeep did great! I’m not ready for a suspension lift as I’ve added a bunch of weight and the xr suspension is no longer a good option for me.

enjoy your jeep!

Here's a pic of my Willys Xtreme Recon Sport.

I also went with the 2.0t and it's definitely the option to go with. I'm averaging about 19mpg driving on the 101 in Central CA. I commute 80+ miles a day on 87 Octane and there is a good amount of hills. The power is great with the 4.56 gears and the 2.0t. I drove an eTorque V6 and it didn't feel as responsive. I also had a Gladiator and Wrangler with a V6. I feel that the 4cyl is a big improvement. No regrets.
