My sales person asked me are you sure 4 times!! ? He is also concerned that if I don't take delivery, he will have to find someone who is ok with manual doors and locks.
I am assuming this has central lock.... right?

It will be fun to ask everyone to lock doors once you park! old school ? It also doesn't have security alarm which makes sense as it doesn't have power locks. I am wondering if I can find any aftermarket solutions for that.

If possible I would ask your dealer about deleting the easy to add Mopar items such as the tub liner and windshield tie downs. Some of those small items can hold up an order, at least that is the way it was in 2022. If cost is not a problem, the LED light package is awesome.
I really hope it doesn't happen. I just submitted the order. I will check with sales guy on that. They don't have LED as a package for Willys sport. They look so cool!

Really, the big annoying difference is the manual locks and windows. While power locks are standard on Rubicons / 4XE. You have to get the Willys not Willys Sport. I wanted to get the Willys, but the one they had on the lot was about 8k more. It also had the tech and led upgrade. I only care for the locks, but it wasn't worth 8k to me. Jeep really needs to get with the times and offer power locks / windows with the base models. It's ridiculous in 22'/23'.
The fact that you had to spend 8k to get power locks and windows sucks. But that is because of how the DEALER chose to order it for stock.

If you buy (at a heavy discount)from one of the dealers on this forum, you can get it however you want, in which case power options cost $1600.

I've got a friend with a manual lock Sport. I would say 75% of the time when the truck is "locked". there is a door that isn't actually locked.

Its not just the 4 doors, its the gate in back.

Manual locks are fine when you have a 2 door vehicle with a trunk. You just reach over and lock it. Done. Much more of a pain on what is essentially a 5 door vehicle.

Yeap. You gotta remind everyone to "lock their doors" like the ancient days.

I had a 2018 base JL that got totaled. Never again manual locks and windows lol. Worth the extra $$$ in my book.

Yes. You are absolutely correct, but I believe it's more than $1600 isn't it? When I checked my order sheet. It was looking like a 4k+ difference from the Willys to Willys Sport.

But regardless, it's my opinion. Some people like manual locks and windows. ?

You get a bunch of other stuff. Not just electric locks and windows. (I think)

@libis22 consider looking at the spreadsheet in my sig. You can most likely get the options that you're wanting for about the same cost by going through one of those dealerships. I got mine for about $6k less than MSRP.

Willys over Willys sport is actually a good deal for that extra 4k with power locks, windows, mirror, LED package etc.. I just decided this on a whim and stuck with it. I don't commute or drive much. Wanted something cheaper but good capability off road.

Thank you! I went with one dealership idea I got from this forum. Mall of GA. Gupton gave me a better deal by few hundreds but ended up going with Mall of GA as I live in GA.

BTW, your jeep build is so cool!

If you add the half doors to your build, you get the power windows and doors included for 'free'. Worth considering if you like the half doors.

It looks like the difference between the Sport and Sport S is only $1600.
But the difference between the Willys Sport and the Willys is $4000. So the step up in the Willys includes a lot more than just power locks.

Unfortunately only in Jeep World is it a good deal. Most other vehicles come standard with everything Jeep is charging extra for in the Wrangler.

The Willys fully loaded should cost what the Willys Sport costs. The Willys Sport should still be an option but cost much much less. JMO.

It is the fold down windshield what makes Jeep 4k overpriced.

I 100% agree. Look at everything you get in a Ram compared to a Jeep. You get a loaded truck with a Hemi at this price and we can't get power locks. lol
