Picked my back Harley up from the dealer after having work done. Washed it when I got home and washed black grease out of a scratch on the tank, so not only did some employee scratch it to the primer he hid the damage. The dealer refused to do anything because I “could have done it after I left “ aka F....U !!!! Good Luck !!

My response would have been, "why the F would I do that to an 80k vehicle?"

I hope you left him a 1-star review for his trouble.

My Harley not my 392 but they don’t give them away either. The next closest dealer was about 55 miles away. Harley gives their dealers a lot of territory so if you are in a bad ones territory it’s a PITA!!!

I cannot imagine any possible way to cause this level of mess on that fender during a simple oil change. The filter is underneath, the only reason they had to pop the hood was to pour oil back in.

Looks like a cardboard box that was previously sitting on a dirty gritty shop floor was placed on your fender. I'm betting they are 100% aware of the damage since it's pretty damn obvious on that white paint.

If you can hang your fingernail in those scratches, it's far beyond polishing. The Clear coat isn't that thick. Some of those scratches appear to be completely through the clear coat and onto the base color.

This is pretty sorry customer service and sadly, its becoming very common.

Demand a new fender. Make them eat the costs. A good dealership will not need to be perduaded to pay for a brand new factory fresh painted fender to replaced this mess that they are 100% responsible for.

I had to get pretty nasty with my dealership to replace my hardtop this that they effed up trying to patch a factory paint defect. Made them eat that cost.

I think my nail can, they are short but also don want to mess with anything, Leaving the Jeep in the garage until Monday and taking straight there before going into work. Like someone said this like the Lambo to Jeep or even G63/65 level of price on a Jeep, you would think someone would value you that, but I guess someone got to awestruck by the Jeep or something. Honestly breaks the trust I had with this dealership (6 years of no issues)

Just got back from the local dealer (not Chapman) for its first oil change after the break in period. Just noticed (see photos below) the fender has scuffs scrapes and scratches…how do you damage a fender during an oil change let alone not clean up after yourself. Going to the dealer Monday to get this issue resolved, going to make them replace the fender with how new it is.

Looks like this dealership hires Grease Monkeys to do the work! smh. I would be livid! I would check to see if they actually replaced the oil and check if they overfilled it. They don't look like they know what they are doing.

Going to check tomorrow since the the bay gets hot. I honestly was surprised. especially since I didn't catch when I left since the car color is light compared that atrocious mess

If I had to guess it almost looks like they used a dirty fender cover that the bottom was contaminated with junk, probably dropped it on the floor without cleaning it leaving oil and dirt stuck to it. Still pure laziness and disrespect on the techs part. Unacceptable!
