I should have taken a pic of the old OEM with the replacement. Both had the same part number but the new one has a somewhat smaller inlet opening. Was definitely a challenge installing the new one; taking the old off was also not easy…
I measured mine and they are the same. I hear you on the difficulty which is why I have not changed mine yet so that I am not repeating the process in short order.

Mine are exactly the same in every way from part numbers to inlet opening to outlet opening.

@AllMoparParts.com - any update when my replacement is going to ship?
Mopar keeps pushing the ETA back and also placed them on restriction now. The ETA is Sep 15th currently

I got mine put have not instilled it yet
Read what I have posted

I was surprised at how little my UPR oil catch collected after the JEEP JL PWM FAN CONTROLLER was installed
On the left before JEEP JL PWM FAN CONTROLLER
On the right after JEEP JL PWM FAN CONTROLLER
Keeping the coolant and oil temps down really helps

Curious how it goes. I found this thread and looks like the discussion ended 3 weeks ago. Are we able to order 68609110AA?
I was able to get photos of one from our sister store as they are becoming very hard to get, Mopar is limiting the qty's they ship to each dealer per week.

The valve is still stamped with the old number and physically appears to be the same (to me). We do not know what internal changes may have been made. Here are photos

2021 JLUR w/~25,000 miles. Slight knock at low rpm and mild loading. Warranty.
Today dealer starts tearing down heads to perform TSB. They had to search for PCV listed in TSB but finally got it from dealer in S. Carolina. I requested them to keep the old PCV for me. Curious if any of this would constitute damage caused by faulty PCV design and therefore repairs covered under emissions warranty which is longer than powertrain. Could be a big financial exposure to Stellantis!

The diameter of the inlet opening of this PCV is the same as the new PCV I recently purchased from Jeep. It, however, does carry the same part number I found on the original in my 2020 Wrangler. Perhaps it will be an improvement given the more restrictive opening, but I am stymied that both old and new have the same P/N.

If it has the same part number, then it isn't different.
The original PCV has the same P/N as the replacement, but as you can see it is different. The inlet opening in the original is significantly larger

Oh, the stamping is wrong, right?

What I think Stellantis did, out of laziness for not wanting to change their tech manuals and parts catalog, was to keep the same PCV part number but "improve" the PCV to restrict the flow of oil into the combustion chamber. Seems like Srtellantis is always taking shortcuts; witness the "new" clutch system under the recall. They are still using a software program to de-power the 3.6 in the event of excessive heat generated by the clutch. To my knowledge, no other automaker has ever used software to restrict engine power due to an overheated clutch. Their clutch system is, simply put, a dangerously defective design. Sorry for the rant...

No, it has a new part number, that doesn't match the stamping.

How sure are we that the big hole version isn't broken? I haven't stared at one long enough to say for sure. I have one on my desk at work for a GC, I'll check in the morning.

It’s hard to tell from a picture, but to me the big hole version looks broken. The concentric circles aren’t constant and disappear.
