Mpg?

Picked up a 2021 JLU rubicon with a 3.5" lift. running 37x13.5x20r tires. I have had it for just over a week now and It's getting around 11MPG based on searched on here this seems pretty low.
I live in Alaska so it's been pretty cold but I've tried to not let it just sit and idle.
Habnt had it on the highway much either. It's been mostly just on base. So 25-35mph typical driving speeds.

Lol thats my average MPG on 33s with stock sport gears. Almost entirely city driving. I have the M/T Falkens. Those things are a bit heavy for 33s and get terrible city MPG. Jeep would probably do better with 4.10 gearing or lower.

No lift, 32 OEM tires, averaging 22 mph gallon. Should have bought the diesel!

If it has stock gearing and not driving hwy speeds. That's probably normal.

3.6 stock height w/33's. Highway 14.9 MPG :/

My stock Willys always gets 22+ with the 3.6 eTorque auto. Even with 37's, 11 seems really low.

Seems a bit low but with 37's and 4.10s I'm not surprised with it. with 4.10s on my 6 speed manual and 35's i was getting about 14mpg avg. with mostly street driving. I will find out what 4.88's and 35's look like over the next couple months.

The rubicon is a little heavier than the sport iirc. Also, it can depend on how much your tires and wheels weigh. I have a sport and lightweight wheels and tires. I do have a stubby steel front bumper and steel rear bumper though. And steel skid plates. Which im sure is why i get 14ish lol

STRAIGHT Talk. Been on Jeep forums/BBs since the early 80s.

Every MPG thread starts out with a bit of honesty, the longer it goes the taller the tires and the taller the MPG till you hit about 43 in tires and 27.X mpg

My JLR, 35s, 4:88s City/Hwy (90/10%) = 15.6 and most likely will creep up as I get more miles on the Jeep (7XX miles). Look for 15.9 Auto trans

My TJR, 37s, 4:88s city Low 12 ish, Hwy high 10s to low 11s Stanard trans

My JKR 33 x 12:50s, city solid high 15s edging into 16s, Hwy 16s -19.1 Standard trans

My JKR 33s, city 15s, Hwy 16s Auto trans

My JTR 33s, city 15s all day, Hwy 16s solid, TOWING 5XXX lbs, cross country 1250 miles, 68 mpg, 10.8 mpg Auo tans

I typically drive 65-72 mpg on cruise control on Interstate, 72 in light traffic, 65 in heavy

Been driving Jeeps since 65, 2 of them had over 101K and 136k miles

How do I compute? Dashboard numbers and hand-measured, like THIS: Fill tank to the lip of fuel tank spout so as gas sits visible and is at the very edge! Write down mileage, next time I fill, same procedure, and its math miles to gallons on an actual calculator on my iPhone. I get +/- .1 or .2 vs the dashboard.

55 years of driving Jeeps and oddly enough that all get very close to the same mpg city and Hwy. WHY? The answer is simple. The same styling cues have been used since 1941. The wind resistance profile has not changed very much at all.

2018 Sahara, V6, auto, Mopar lift, 4.88 gears, 35-inch tires: 14 city/15 hwy.

I can get 17.5 MPG on the highway if I stay well below 65 MPH.

You'll get results all over the map as far as mpg. If it is mostly cruising around 25-35mph for long durations I'd say it's on the low end, but if it's a lot of stop, accelerate up to speed just to stop again, I'd say that is an expected average. We average 13-15mpg in our stock XR with 3.6 wether city/country roads or freeway as the former involves a lot of stop and go and the later usually means cruise control set a 80mph. Sure if I set the cruise control at 60mph on roadtrips I'd probably see close to 20mpg, but driving that slow would add 3+ hours drive time to a 10 hour roadtrip. I'd rather get where I'm going and spend more on gas. Time is money.
