You are correct and edited my post to reflect the change! I’m really enjoying the lift and ride comfort.
I pieced together my lift but I have the metalcloak 2.5” springs and the rocksport shocks and so far its great. Will find out how it performs off-road this Sunday

I have the 2.5” MC Rocksport edition, so not the game changer yet but will be getting the control arms later this year, hopefully. So far no rubbing when I go off-roading and I believe mine have a lot of offset. Never figured the exact numbers since the shop ordered them and installed them but they said I would be fine. Here are some pics. I have the Ridge Grapplers and love them.

@OnlyOne Believe it or not this is "almost" 100% her choices for this. :giggle: :fingerscrossed:
She wants the Jeep to continue to fit in our garage so that is why she is going with the 2.5 lift and 35's. She likes the Nitto Ridge tires. I advised her to make sure she has hub-centric and enough backspace to assure no rub. Metalcloak is about 4 miles from our house so having them do the lift work is going to be very easy.
@MarkY3130 I really like those Mopar wheels and have suggested them to her.

She likes these: https://iconvehicledynamics.com/wheel/11912/icon-alloys-compression/?finishID=1902
Backspace is 4.5 and offset is -6

@ChattVol since you asked... here is her Jeep:

Good looking jeep. How do you guys plan to use the jeep? If you want to wheel it on tougher trails and have full travel with the Rocksports without rubbing the frame, I would listen to Metalcloak and buy wheels with 4.5 backspacing or less and get their outboard shock mounts as well as a aftermarket front driveshaft.

I've wheeled twice with my friend in a 2 door rubi on 35s with 17x9/4.75 backspacing wheels with full gamechanger lift, Rocksport shocks, 8 control arms and Metalcloak recommended front driveshaft. The paint is rubbed off the frame side of his front passenger Rocksport shock where it rubs the frame bc he's not using the outboard shock mounts. You can also hear the shocks rubbing the frame near full droop. It still flexes incredibly well...would look better on 37s. I imagine the vast majority of jeep owners won't flex their jeep enough to notice these shocks rubbing the frame. In terms of aesthetics with this 2.5" lift on a JL rubi 4 door, it looks more proportionate on 37s IMHO. Is she set on running 35s? If not, I'd definitely go 37s bc this lift lifts closer to 3" and they look awesome with it.:like:

I talked with her about 37's, and she said she wants to do 35's for now and down the road consider 37's. If she does, she said she will re-gear and sell the 35's. We will know how it all looks later this week...

How do you guys plan to use the jeep? If she wants 35s and she's/you're not going to be wheeling it, I'd put 35s on it at stock height and save $2k and keep the stock ride by not lifting it. 35s look/ride great on stock rubi's.

Has anyone with a Rubicon successfully run wheels with 5.2" backspacing with any of the Metalcloak lifts?

what do you consider successfully? lol when ordering their kit they have an option for wheels with more than 4.5" backspacing. I'm guessing that just means that you don't get the outboard shock mounts.

Successfully as in running the 5.2" BS wheels without any rubbing. I'm considering metalcloak, but don't want to buy new wheels. Plus I don't want to get into any inspection issue with tire tread being outside the fenders in PA. I figured with the wider Rubicon axles that, maybe, we could get away with a 5.2" BS and still run the full MC kit (outboard shock mounts and all). If not, then I'll keeping looking at the Synergy kits.

Yeah...and the Rocksport shocks will rub the frame near full extension without the outboard shock mounts. I'd go with a shorter shock if you're gonna run 5.2 backspacing. I ran 35s on 17x8.5 wheels with 5.2 backspacing for a year with RK TT shocks that extend to 28.5" and they cleared at full flex. The Rocksports extend to 30". It all depends on if you want full suspension travel or not.

Thanks for the info and insight on shock length. appreciate it

I think the the biggest concern with that would be finding shocks with valving that complements their springs. To me the lift feels great with the rocksports. Very smooth on the highway and perfect off-road, I didn't have any harsh bottoming of the bump stops and it flexed very well.

a shorter shock would also eliminate the need for a new front driveshaft.
Yep...I think 28" extended is about the limit if you want to keep the stock driveshaft. At 28.5" extended in front and 31.5" in rear, my stock driveshaft is bending the flange at the transfer case and starting to leak a bit. I've flexed it a good bit over the last year.

wow, is the the front or the rear? if rear I would be afraid of it eventually letting lose on the highway.
