The AccuAir is pretty sweet and I came really close to pulling the trigger on it, but just couldn't quite stomach $7800 after shipping and tax.

It's designed to run at about 2.5" lift on the highway or around town, then at 3.5" for normal offroading. It also has an "all down" setting that can be used up to 25mph for getting into low garages and easy entry/exit, plus manual adjustment up to about 5" for low speed crawling when extra height is needed for an obstacle.

It also can be set to auto-level, so when towing or loading up with heavy cargo it'll increase pressure to each corner as needed to maintain the set height based on individual sensors that get installed.

392 owners would greatly benefit from this.

It sure would help their vRoOmVrOoM ability and all, not having such a high center of gravity.

You can't see if the steering wheel angle is changing. The wheels are loaded, the distance between the pitman arm is changing, the steering wheel will be spinning while the wheels point straight.
Possibly. Or it's possible Jeep designed the JL to have minimal bump steer at typical heights. Obviously if you have like 24" of droop things will change, but this kit doesn't seem to lift that high.

1:40 in the video below shows the steering wheel.

At least it is not squatted. :D

Why would anyone , anywhere , do that ? It looks horrendous, must drive like shat, and doesn’t do 1 thing to benefit anyone. I believe that it is your Jeep and you do to it what you like, but that is just WRONG.

Here in NC, they call that the Carolina Squat. IMHO, I think just ran out of money. So when I see a squatted vehicle in a parking lot, I put dollar and a note in an envelope that is then placed on their windshield. The note says "Good job on the first 1/2 of the lift, but it seems you ran a little short to get the other half done. Here's a dollar to get you started on 2nd half. Best wishes completing the rest of the project." :D

They do it to get a reaction out of people. There's a petition to keep it legal where you can read the comments for why people sign.

Edit: started with Baja racing https://www.motorbiscuit.com/origins-carolina-squat-not-north-south-carolina/
Really not sure if I buy that excuse for an origins story. Maybe they wanted to visually make their truck "racey" by having it in an extreme launch pose or something, but trying to get a vehicle that's lowrider in the back and off-road in the front doesn't help with baja racing in any way. An actual lowrider air suspension that could lift and lower both front and rear would accomplish this, not whatever this abomination of car culture is.

I can dig lifted, lowrider, slammed, poked and extreme cant, but imo, the Carolina Squat isn't aesthetically appealing or practical by any measure, and only serves to make it difficult for the driver to actually see where they're going (hence, why they're becoming illegal from causing deadly accidents).

"They wanted to make their cars look more extreme by lowering them as close to the ground as possible (hence the term “lowrider”) while raising the front for off-road racing."

Now that it's lowered, how about some polyurethane swaybar bushings or dialing in the camber?

I kinda like that!

It's like any other car trend where they take something that had purpose, and take it to the absolute extreme edges where it no longer serves its original function. Hellaflush, Bro-dozers, and extremely low profile tires are all extreme versions of trends that originated from some functional purpose.

Lol, the top rated reason for signing is:

Don’t know if my past response was seen…

“I was told by a co-worker here in FL that this is done by gay male drivers to “present” themselves and tell other fellow high front truck/Jeep drivers that they are gay. Kind of the same as how certain jail culture of wearing their pants past their butt to tell other inmates they are available.”

So in FL it will get you more ass but not the female kind, lol
