I have a 18 JLU Sport S that is bone stock. I am hoping here in the up coming months to get some new goodies for the Jeep. I am looking at the Mopar 2" lift kit (people have advised this gives the sport and Sahara models close to 3" lift), a new front bumper and a winch. My questions comes down to the size of tires. I am not looking to do crazy crawling, but want to be comfortable enough to go on some decent trails. I am debating between 33s or 35s. My question is with 35s what would I have to get with it? I read I would have to get the tailgate reinforcement, gear ratio changed, speedo/alignment. I am not sure what else. Would I also just be able to use the stock rims from my sport s(17" painted granite rims)
I think if I got 33s I wouldn't have to do as much to get the jeep ready, but don't want to be disappointed and want to move to 35s 6 months down the road and be stuck with trying to sell tires.
Any help or guidance would be great. I have searched through these forums and have seen a lot of conflicting opinions.
