Jeep and Dodge are just money fountains for Stellantis.
Well……as far as Dodge is concerned, I certainly don’t see the Dodge nameplate being anything but a fountain of piss for Stellantis.

Let’s see…..there’s those overpriced hunk of schitttttttt Charger EV’s…..and I’m betting that the Hornet is gonna suck like a Hoover upright.

Hey- those Charger EV’s are gettin both “Active Sound Enhancement and Active Vibration System Enhancement to immerse drivers, pedestrians, and other motorists in and around it’s new EV’s into the feeling that it’s being powered by a big, 6.4 liter Hemi engine instead of batteries and electric motors” … C’mon man, the chassis, seat and steering wheel are gonna get vibrated, “the same sensors control speakers pumping in fake engine noise to both the cabin and the outside world.” :like::CWL: 🙄

I’m a member over on Challenger Talk, and it’s comical to see the responses to some of the stooooopit schittttttt they’re coming up with to make an EV more “ICE” like.

As you can tell by my signature, and avatar, the rawness of 392 cubic inches and 485 hp will be hard to duplicate with speakers and vibrators.

Perhaps some of the male population will be smitten by it; those who will be smitten by it will probably be wearing fanny packs with an assortment of tampons inside.

option packages in a stealth effort to make Jeeps more “affordable.” I do not expect a drop in sticker prices,
They can't drop the price as that would hurt the second hand market. So yes they may add options that had to be paid for in the past.

Stellantis' issues can be traced directly to the rise of the accountants/financial gurus to positions of leadership within large corporations. They have ZERO operational/commercial expertise, and make short-term decisions with long term impacts that often cost their corporations billions (see the demise of GE as but one example). The only levers they know how to pull to affect are cost and price, and we're seeing that play out right in front of our eyes today.

I just bought a 2024 Toyota and you're right about the camera and infotainment. Toyota sucks in that department.
I bought a 2022 Honda in Oct 2021 and the entire infotainment system died and had to be replaced in less than 2 months of ownership. Luckily, there was one in stock at a dealer within the US else I'd been waiting for months for a new one.

None... but it pays well.
I was driving by my local dealership the other day and right in front was a 2024 2 door Sport S, a rarity around here lately. I stopped to check it out and it had the same options as my Sport S. I realize there is a new dash interior with the huge radio but the sticker price was about $8000 more than my 2020 Sport S. I am not an expert in this area but it can’t be hard to understand if sales and profit are down, you might want to reconsider your pricing structure. It is not rocket science.
If it were not for 2 door JK and a few JL 2 doors in my small neck of the woods. Not much else to look forward to buying new.

Talk about options and what's available. What is value? We value dependability and durability, more than bells and whistles. Jeep did a smart thing by having a complete WARN winch option on steel bumper. If jeep was smarter, they should package deal or Ala cart big named options. I see too many take off and replace jeeps. If someone can purchase a Rubicon X package without blinking an eye, they may opt for custom options factory installed and have a no issue warranty to covet.

One thing that would boost sales is give an option to all lower trims a 4th gen D44 wide track setup and 4:1 transfer case.

I admit I expected to get roll up windows and basics, but the used JL Sport S sticker prices were within $3 to $4k of a Rubicon. No brainer for me.

In a way jeeps over pricing themselves make all past models keep value, while new models will be status symbols against the grain, until replaced by a newer model and sold as used.

It’s not just Jeep with inflated prices. It’s ALL of them. But remember what is bringing on these higher prices.

- Start with inflation. The price of everything is up. Your govt’ tariffs on Canadian raw materials like aluminum is a good start.
- New government regulations and safety features
- R&D and all that Green Energy forced on manufactures.
- The need for ALL the bells and whistles to be competitive . How many people do you think would be happy with an affordable base Wrangler like a base JK or TJ were.
For those not old enough , we went though this very thing in the 70s where By the early 80s vehicle prices had quadrupled. There was no way I could afford a new vehicle in the 80s and I had a very good job.

If you buy anything right now whether it’s a house, toys or even groceries Everything is double or triple the price it was just a few years ago.
Huge discounts right now on new vehicles would kill the used vehicle market definitely. Which doesn’t help the new car market if trade in values drop too much.

🤷‍♂️… After reading all the comments I think everyone has valid points, but I’m not sure this is purely a Jeep thing.

Price a new 4-runner, land cruiser, tacoma, bronco, or ranger raptor, and you can see they are all overpriced. Ford has similar quality issues and Toyota is showing cracks as well.

I think Stellantis just happens to be at the top of the heap for financial trouble, but it doesn’t seem like the other manufacturers will be far behind.

I believe Stellantis is brought more to light here just because it’s a Jeep forum. It’s very apparent by a lot of the comments that many have not priced any other brands lately.
BTW… What’s the price on a new Harley or Polaris UTV?
