Leather was a must item when placing my JLUR order. It’s very dusty out on the desert trails. As such, leather seats are must easier to clean and maintain.

I will never have leather by my choice now or in the future. I had leather in the past (92 supra) and it was cold in the winter, sticky hot in the summer, and cracked all year. I'm a man who appreciates the softer fabrics of life.

I had cloth on both my JKs and leather on this JL and really don't care one way or another. Cloth is definitely comfier in winter and summer but leather is much easier to clean

Leather or NOT???? Why????

Thanks!
The leather is coated in a heavy layer of vinyl.... instead of cloth backing, it uses leather, but the surface is still vinyl. All "leather" in cars is like this, with rare, old skewl exceptions.

The number 1 reason to get leather? Chicks dig it!
hmmmmmmmm. i like chicks.
Be sure you like those kind of chicks.

:P

Hmm, maybe we are not talking about that kind of leather... !

We got leather for the differences that had nothing to do with the material. The Leather comes with a fold down center armrest in the rear seat for the cup holders vs. floor cup holders. The leather also comes with the gap hider between the cargo area and the rear seats that the cloth does not come with.
This is great info!

I vote leather because they’re easy to wipe clean. Had a really hard time making this decision myself, but after wheeling in super dusty environments with the windows down, I’m glad I went with leather.

Had cloth on my JKU and it was great, but I honestly left my soft top in “safari mode” whenever I wasn’t in it to mitigate sun damage anyways so not much has changed for me. With the leather, I’ll just be sure to condition it regularly.

So far so good!

i LOVE how easy leather is to keep clean with four kids however i’m not big on scalding skin either. the answer (to me), is pretty easy…. convertible = cloth. bartac seat covers are so easy to clean! cloth seats will last forever and look new with these seat covers!

You might be confusing bedroom with jeep interior…. Even know they can both have same usage at times…. 😜 🤣🤣🤣

I prefer cloth with a seat cover.

Leather is durable as hell. It wears well, and all you have to do is put some conditioner on it every few months.

I really like the looks of leather. But I have found that cloth is more comfortable, and cooler in the Arizona heat. Our JKR had cloth, and our JLR has leather.
