I opted for cloth because im hard on seats so I ordered PRP seat covers at Jeep order time and Put the savings toward the cold weather package

These are the Terry/towel covers I mentioned. They‘re available in several colors and they just “drape and clip”. We used them the last few years on our TJ to protect the neoprene covers From fading in the sun, but they‘re also great for keeping bare legs off of hot leather.

Heated leather seats sure feel good against the jeans in the winter...

I went w cloth because I think leather can get too hot. Had to special order because it was hard to find a JLUR with premium soft top, cloth and 6 sp.

Entirely possible, but I read somewhere on this forum that padding for leather and cloth seats have different part numbers.

You get different door armrests on Rubicon.

Rubicon with cloth seats get the Sport’s one-piece door armrests; Rubicon with “base” leather seats get Sahara’s door armrests with extra padding and contrasting stitching, and you also get a fold down rear center armrest.

However, when you order the —more expensive— Mopar leather seats on a Rubicon, once again you get Sport’s door armrests, and you lose the rear center armrest.

Sahara always gets the fancy armrests, with a matching console armrest with stitching, regardless of cloth or leather seats.

Yeah, I know. It makes no sense.

In Houston Tx, it feels like Summer all but a few weeks out of the year, with the heat and Humidity. So, parking in the sun and having leather seats is crazy hot on the legs, back, and butt. Cloth is a necessity for me. If I lived farther North, of Texas, then I would love Leather.

Cloth all the way!!! Leather is yet just another item that needs care. Cold weather package keeps the seats toasty in the winter and cloth is great for the summer.
