just used a high quality leather conditioner/cleaner
Are there any you recommend? I have some "Air Jungles" leather wipes that I clean them with that supposedly has conditioning qualities also. I also have some Jay Leno Leather Cleaner. I guess I really don't know much about conditioning because in my 40 years of driving this is the first vehicle I've owned with leather seats. I don't mind them getting dingy as much as I mind them not ripping where I slide over the bolster to get in.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I’ve used different kinds from McGuire’s to generic stuff to Griot’s Garage 3 in 1 leather spray. I think they are all kinda similar, I personally have never really noticed a big difference. Main thing is to use them!

@Medsker

Apply to warm leather. Massage it in / work the product into the leather.

That massaging in, versus just lightly wiping it on, is the best way to apply.

Then, after massaging in, buff with a clean, lint free towel.

After all done, go back and address any areas that you may have missed with the product.... they will be easily visible.

Easy deed to do by the way....

YES, bare hand application is aok unless you have abrasions, cuts, etc. your hands like I usually do... I have applied with a bare hand on an occasion or three..

Oh.... That bottle will be enough to do your JLU's leather many many times. It goes a long ways...

I thought I remembered some discussion that with the leather seats not all of the pieces are leather. If not, what parts of the seats are actually leather? I’m assuming the leather protectant is fine on the non-leather?

The Amazon reviews say it's fine on "vegan leather" (LOL) but I'll defer to the expert.

I've seen ad copy that reads "Leather seating surfaces". That suggests that the $2K upcharge pays for cowhide for back and butt only.

...or nothing at all, if the owner then installs seat covers.

It’s probably a synthetic blend of …who knows what. They should make a disclaimer no actual cows were used to build this Jeep 😜😬
