Yea, it's bonkers. I get the feeling that the new design is too hard to calibrate properly, hence the funky steering, and the wild variability from Jeep to Jeep, which is just bizzare.
For whatever it might be worth, my steering has no play at all, one eighth inch movement of the steering wheel...
I run 26-28 psi, on a flat road, on a windless day, the jeep tracks like a train, dead straight untill it runs out of road.
Given any wind at all, or given the slightest tilt in the road, and I have to counter steer a bit.
Sadly, Jeep JL steering threads always go way off track, and wander all...
Yea, my 2019 Jeep looks like that too, but I have a hinge reinforcement kit which is likely covering up more of the problem. It's a Jeep thing, and not in the good way. Best way to deal with it is mutter "jeep" under your breath, and enjoy driving with the top down. Then, head out to a trail and...
The Gladiator looks good, just make sure it has the options you want.
May as well introduce yourself over on the Gladiator forums, and keep chatting over here with us short Jeeps. Can't hurt!
I must have my eye on 42k worth of parts, just not sure which ones to get first.
This site does not save me any money at all!
However, it does help prevent headaches from bad dealerships, insanity from waiting for Jeep, and has helped me get a lot of shopping started.
It's only a downgrade if you lower the Jeep, and no one sane does that. Lifted, it's an upgrade!
Toward the topic of the thread, the junkies will just break your window and steal your stuff, they are not about to let a little glass get in the way, so a soft top is not even a factor. Like most...
I focus my side mirrors on the rear quarter 'blind' spot. If I can see the bumper of the car next to me, or see their wheels touch the ground, I have room to get over. The time to set this up is at a stop light, pulled up next to other cars, so you can look around and check.
What I want is 360...
Yea, tire pressure is the first fix to check for handling issues. The factory ships at around 50 psi to prevent flat spots from forming, and the dealers almost never check anything, so you get a new Jeep with around 44 psi or so. First thing I did was go around the corner to a local parts store...
How tall is your Jeep, how tall is your Jeep,
I really need to know,
cause we're livin' in a world of lifts,
bringin us up, and we all should let it be,

Custom order your Jeep from a reputable Jeep dealer. Be very careful in your selection, obsess over everything, make a check list and check it twice. You will not regret it.
I live in the Bay Area, CA, and have the heated seats and wheel. Yes, I dislike cold that much.

Once upon a time, when I was young, we had an Ice Age, roundabout the very early '90s, (or was it the very late '80s?) and it was frosted over in Silicon Valley, stone frozen cold. I had...
Add-on doors, add-on top.... Real Jeeps don't have doors...
As for the way the factorys sells them, modern Jeeps still have tops made by an aftermarket company.
