I have had 10 different Jeeps since 1986. The only issue I ever had was when I hit a pot-hole on the interstate. Started "wobbling" instantly. I bought it stock / used from a guy who wheeled everywhere out west. I don't even remember what I replaced, but the new tighter bushings... seemed to do the trick and it never happened again. I was always a little nervous though. I always try to be moving a bit when I am turning the wheel; but heck, I'm also nervous about locking all four wheels not going in a straight line! I like to off -road in Tennessee where we have some dirt sprinkled around.

We plan to keep ours stock so it should be a non-issue then. And yes, I've also heard about people dying from inhaling water. Isn't it when you drink too much water when it's life threatening? I don't drink it that much anyway. I'm more of a Gatorade drinker.
I have a 23 4xe - completely stock. I was on the highway last year (Jeep was 6 months old) and was driving on the interstate and drove over an overpass and hit a "seam" and my Jeep started wobbling so fiercely I had to pull over on the shoulder. I turned the car off and sat for a few minutes to gather my bearings. My body felt so rattled. after about 5 minutes I got back on the road and had a little bit of wobbling for a few miles.

It hasn't happened since.

Something similar in my 2019 doing 70mph, slightly turning to the right and going over a rough bridge seam. It wasn't front end DW but felt more like the front and back were both wobbling/twisting for a few seconds. Just let off the gas but didn't have to pull over. This occurred on two similar bridge seams.

Since I'm new here, I was wondering if there are any reported issues of the infamous "death wobble" on the newer JL Wranglers? We recently purchased a '24 Jeep Wrangler Sahara V6 a couple of weeks ago and I've heard about this since it's a body-on-frame solid front axle vehicle. Is there any particular fix for it when it does happen? Does it shake the interior apart the more it happens? Have there been any reported on 24MY Wranglers?
Just search the forum on death wobble. You will find 50k threads with more information than you ever wanted. And yet new threads are born every day!

'm a firm believer in if you didn't die then it shouldn't be called death wobble.
I experienced severe death wobble one time in my 2005 Tj. It was 100% fear, I thought I was going to die! I assume that's how it got its name. I was never that scared in my entire life. If I experience that now, goodbye! It was nice chatting with everyone.

Not many people die of Gatorade inhalation. But it could happen.

I have had death wobble but it was not in a jeep. Each time was after some trail damage to the track bar or track bar mounts.

I did not die. I have no fear of death wobble killing me. I don't want it to happen again but I have no fear of it. A brake failure would be much worse, that has never happened to me or anyone I know.

Death wobble looks scary in the video of a jeep having it on the freeway. But in the video the person does not die and does not crash and they just keep on driving. I don't think you should keep driving if you have death wobble. Get a tow and replace the track bar or what ever is broken or worn out before driving again.

Over the years the JL steering and suspension has gotten better. In 2021 the steering box went from aluminum to steel this was a big improvement, Then for the 2024 some other changes were made. So a 2018 JL is different from a 2024. Many people with the older aluminum steering box have had it changed out for the better steel one. But as you have a 2024 you already have all these upgrades.

You will be fine. Don't change anything unless there is a problem.

It took a few years, but I had DW on my 2020. It was not life threatening, but it was real. The fix for me was a JKS track bar and Fox steering stabilizer.
