I love the snow, but hope I don't get 10' in one night, like last year. 2 to 3' in one night is more common, but 10' crippled the mountain resident lol

They should hold up significantly better than a soft top. I haven't heard of anything anyone having issues with it.

So what’s the current temps where you all are at, and what’s the forecasted temperature for Tuesday?

It was 43° today, which isn't cold, but the sustained high winds compelled me to put a jacket on, which is really saying something. I was already warmed up a bit from having to wrestle the Jeep to keep it in its lane, lol.

The current forecast tells us that next Wednesday will bring a high of 26° and a low of 15° here in Dutch Country. A bit of snow is on deck for Tuesday morning, but just in passing and that day's high will be 31°.

Additional note:

I know those hybrids can be a struggle at times. For any 4xe’s having trouble starting up in this cold weather, I’d be happy to help em warm up!

Climate change will make such assistance less and less necessary.

Currently -10F. High today (Sunday) -3F and Monday -7F. It has been a warm winter so far in north central Minnesota. Haven't had our normal week or two of -20F to -30F. Been low on snow. Last year was different with a record snow accumulation around 80 to 90 inches.

As long as you don’t live near @JINO you should be fine ?

My soft top has had around 4-5” of snow on top with no problem. Of course the type of snow matters as well. We typically get the fluffy dry snow here in Utah.

On the Texan Gulf Coast we can go several years without a hard freeze, so I normally use what Rainman Ray calls "blue water" in my windshield squirters. I make it myself from concentrate with no additives to drop the freezing point.

Earlier this week, in anticipation of freezing temperatures and stimulated by a low reservoir warning, i bought a jug of 0-degree windshield washer fluid (for $7.49!). It is pink in color, so I filled the reservoir and ran the squirters, both front and back, until I got pink juice on the windows instead of blue.

By the way, this Jeep has the best windshield squirters among all of the vehicles that I have owned.

Climate change will make such assistance less and less necessary.

My feelings are that there isn't enough climate change until the Midwest feels like South Florida in the middle of winter. We have a long way to go, luckily we can count on China to continue pumping CO2 since we keep trying to cut back...damn green weenies trying to screw it up for the rest of us.

And no I'm not being sarcastic. I hate the cold and a war on winter would be far easier to win than any war on drugs the Government has ever pursued and cost less to boot.

- Learn how and when to engage it.
- Learn what mode 4x4 you should be in
- Know your limits
- Reducing your tire pressure will give you better traction if you should get in a situation where you are sliding around or can’t get traction.

Lots of good info here for those that are unsure what to pack.
I’d like to add. A few candles are enough to keep some heat in The Jeep if you are stranded.. always have a safety blanket or winter cloths in The vehicle. A tow rope and a few soft shackles and some traction boards are a plus.

Today at the bottom of the ski hill. Air temp 5F or about -15C. Was actually a bit warmish in the sun standing still at the gondola base with no wind. But at the top with windchill - not so much.

Temps have been warming up as the Arctic cold front moves away. Perfect - as that means more light and fluffy snow will fall..... Very soon now! Finally!

Ice plunge anyone?!? Creek at the base looks inviting for those into that type of thing! Our annual Polar Bear Dunk limit is 40F or about 5C water temp. So quite a bit warmer vs 32.
