  1. Vantrue N4 Pro Dash Cam

I have this dash camera and I’ve gotta say, it works well. I hardwired mine by tapping into my rear view mirror power. It’s mounted on the upper end of the windshield so it doesn’t block my field of view. With this mounting location however the rear facing camera (facing the cabin) is blocked...
  2. Bolt hood lock - Issue unlocking

Thanks for the input guys. There is one rivet missing because I started to remove the lock so I don’t get stranded. At first I thought the issue was the lock but then decided to look closer and realized the issue was the arm. At this point I decided to leave the lock in place (unlocked) until I...
  3. Bolt hood lock - Issue unlocking

I installed the hood lock about a year ago and had 0 issues with it. Recently it’s become a struggle to unlock, twisting the key to the point I’m worried I’m going to break my key fob. Decided to take a look and it seems the latch arm is making contact with the frame (video attached). I...
  4. Need Wheels w < 4.25" of Backspacing !!!

I’m running KMC Tank wheels. They’re beadlocks so they’re kinda heavy but no rubbing

Did you see a change in fuel economy?
  6. 2021 JLURD (Diesel) Build AKA 1.BAD.DAD - 2 Year Retrospective

Very nice build. You answered a few questions I didn’t even know I had lol. I’d be interested in hearing more about this weight loss, something I plan on doing in the future
  7. Situation Wanted

Your battery recharges when you drive. If you’re worried about it not starting, I’m pretty sure there’s low voltage protection where it won’t allow your battery to fully drain. If you’re concerned about starting, I’d buy a portable jump starter and save money (Jackery is expensive)
  8. Jeep winter storm prep.

Anybody know if the SOT is able to support the weight of snow? Snow is unlikely where I live, but I’ve been curious for a while
  9. Recommended amount of balance beads?

I ended up using 12oz per tire (37” Nitto ridge grapplers)
  10. What age group are you in?

Saw this post on a thread today, and it really got me thinking. I wonder what the age distribution looks like on here. I just turned 30 this year and now I feel like an outlier Here’s my 2022 Rubicon EcoDiesel, 3.5” Rock Krawler No Limits X-Factor lift, 37” Nitto Ridge Grappler, RCV fronts...
  11. Surprisingly high JLURD value

Keeping mine for the long haul too, I’m glad it’s retaining the value but ultimately it doesn’t matter. This is a vehicle I want to keep for my kids
  12. Heavy Shimmy In Steering Wheel. What is it?

Did you also add bigger tires? My rig has been doing this lately, but only on my 37s. My 33s ride fine.
  13. How do i remove a speed dial entry from 7 inch uconnect?

If you’re using an iPhone, go to your phone app then click favorites at the bottom. for me, these are the contacts that show on speed dial. To add/remove from Uconnect speed dial, this is where I do it
  14. Is 23 psi too low?

I'm in the diesel so it's heavier than most jeeps, but I don't think it's as heavy as a TRX
  15. Is 23 psi too low?

So I'm running 37x17 Nitto ridge grapplers and normally running 26 - 28 psi. It rides a little rough and wanders, but it's a lifted Jeep on 37s. This morning when I was on the way to work I looked at tire pressures and they were down to 23psi. Surprisingly it rode smooth as butter. I know...
  16. New brake design? Cannot replace just pads?

Why would you use OEM pads? I’d go aftermarket with better stopping power for (I’d assume) cheaper
  17. HPFP now available

I'm also curious what they're replacing it with, so far my hpfp hasn't given cause for concern so I'll let others be the lab rats
  18. Amazon Prime Days - what's on YOUR list?

NOCO jump boxes are on sale, I'll probably pick up the GBX55 for $139.96 (20% off)
  19. Swap 2023 windshield with new 2024 windshield (integral antenna) ?

I like that, I’d never considered a rubberized version. I wish it sat a little taller though.
  20. Swap 2023 windshield with new 2024 windshield (integral antenna) ?

I like the factory antenna personally, it acts as a low clearance warning. And the way these windshields are prone to cracking I don’t think I’d be willing to replace it with a more expensive option. Those windshield films might help but they certainly don’t prevent rocks from hitting the near...
