Gotta love YouTubers. "Don't forget to subscribe, guys!" as he's racing down a drag strip.

Still, a fun video. Thanks for posting.
I've changed my corporate attorney work email signature to say "Don't forget to like and subscribe. And click the link below for merch!!" Keeps me hip.

Drag racing is exactly why I purchased my Jeep. Extremely important to me to be able to drag race it.

in fact, my jeep is such a capable drag racer that I give the other guy a break and typically only use 4L when I race.

amazing vehicle for drag racing.

It's pretty clear that the standard engines are going to shake out like this:

Bronco 2.7 = slightly the fastest
Jeep 3.6 = slightly slower than the Bronco 2.7
Jeep 2.0 = slightly slower than the Jeep 3.6
Bronco 2.3 = slightly slower than any of them

Not rocket science. Not controversial. And not particularly important for off-road vehicles. I'd be surprised if there's more than 1.3 seconds difference in the quarter mile from best to worst.
Theyre basically all very similar. And mostly negligible for the consumer. I dont get all these drag racing going on. Take the damn thing to the Rubicon, or Moab. And not by some staged Ford employees.

What's funny is despite all of the Bronco threads and news recently, the Bronco guys who commented almost daily have quieted down significantly.. The same ones who called us "fanboys" for saying to wait for the vehicle to enter the real world to judge
You mean the Ford Marketing Droids coming over here to stir up $hit!

If there was just one or two posters, you’d have a point. It’s not a coincidence that every single of them of quieted down when more and more unfavorable news was revealed. This is the same site most of them boasted how much better the Bronco would be. Big difference between a coincidence and a correlation.
I’m still browsing here. These comparisons are honestly pretty pointless until we get apples to apples comparisons. Comparing Broncos on big tires to jeeps on small tires, hybrids vs non hybrids, Broncos on low octane and unknown modes, etc. I drove a Sasquatch Bronco on the street, it was definitely a decent bit faster than a 2.0 rubicon soft top I drove 24 hours prior. Maybe I’m just biased and they’re closer than I think, but 10 second 0-60 is just dumb. That’s like my old explorer with a 4.0 V6 making 210 horsepower.

I want to see a badlands 2.7, non Sasquatch, in sport mode, traction control off, on premium fuel (Bronco gets a pretty significant boost from premium, anyone that cares about 0-60 would run it) Vs. a stock Jeep Rubicon 2.0 with all the same settings and premium fuel too. That’s when I’ll take a comparison seriously. And when the Xtreme recon package comes out let’s see that vs a Sasquatch Bronco.

I get the sarcasm but.... it's not completely pointless, is it? My Prius, which everyone rips on for being slow and terrible, is apparently a 9.7 sec 0 - 60 vehicle. I find it to be perfectly adequate around town. I'm not going to win any races, but if I need to get ahead of someone at a light I generally can because everyone is too busy making their next tiktok video at the stop lights. But acceleration does matter, at least a bit, in the real world. While 9.7 is fine for me, I do wish it was a bit quicker.

Also... I have done the stop light drags in a Jeep before. My best take down ever was a Viper. I was rolling toward work, top and doors off, sway bars long since thrown in the garbage, probably a cigar in hand (those days I worked a late shift at Ford) in my 2003 TJ. On an empty stretch of road I come up on a Viper. Guy also has his top down and he looks over at me as I come to a stop at the light. He gives a little wave and nod, that's when I knew it was on. I reach down and pull that t-case into 4 high to help on the launch and I rev the mighty 4.0 to let him know he is about to meet his match. The entire Jeep twists itself up as it tries to hold back all 190 furious horses. The light turns green, I side step the clutch from about 2,500 rpm and the BFG mud terrains let out a groan as they claw at the pavement for traction, the jeep trying to lift the front left tire off the ground. Midway through the intersection I slam it into second gear, the Jeep lurches at the torque change and I make it through to the other side first. A moment or two later that Viper finally catches up, the driver looks at me, laughing, knowing he just got smoked. He then floors it as he disappears into the distance in a classic ricer fly by. Yes, Jeeps are truly made for drag racing.

I don’t disagree. Most of the comparisons haven’t been comparable. With that said I think we’ve seen enough to say the Broncos engines are comparable and not significantly better or worse.

Oooohhhhh.... I dunno. I'm a bit of an old man but Ford's implementation of direct injection concerns me, and the way Jeep did it on the 2.0 I have the same reservations. Basically I do not understand what keeps the intake valve clean and seating well over time if there is not a port injector in use at least some of the time, like on cold start maybe. As far as I know, and I may be mistaken, Ford's ecoboost engines (as well as the Jeep Hurricane) only have the injector inside of the combustion chamber, no port injection. Good for a number of reasons to do so, but by 75,000 - 100,000 miles will it need an expensive cleaning? That was a reason for me going with the pentastar engine, as far as I know all pentastars still do not use direct injection. As I said from the get go, I'm a bit of an old man, for me longevity/simplicity is a big thing when deciding what engine is better or worse. If I had to bet, I'd put my money on the simple pentastar over an ecoboost.

Still the only track that matters..

Luckily we’ve got TFL taking the Bronco on some sort of difficult trail tomorrow. Sounds like they are taking it and someone else is bringing a 392 on 40’s for comparison sake. Should be the most interesting video yet!

Yea, we've already seen the video of the Bronco that can't make it up a slightly damp service road and then has to be backed out because it's "GOAT" mode doesn't work, something a stock Sport could walk up. Thanks, but not interested.

That video makes no sense as should I purchase a Jeep or a Bronco, wouldn't you rather know how it performs off road, that's where my decision would be made.
For me, the on road is equally important. Something that would be strange to review on road would be a RZR, X3, or Speed.

You want to see a 2.7 turbo 6 vs a 2.0 turbo 4 to take it more seriously?
