Didn't even get a JD Power survey after buying a new Wrangler last year, even though I got one for buying my last vehicle. Hell, Jeep didn't even send me a fucking email or postcard saying "Hey, thanks for your business asshole."

I love my new JL, but the current Jeep brand is greedy, ungrateful trash without the quality to back up their pricing and attitude. Jmo, of course.
Stellantis will eventually sell it off. When FCA was trying to sell Chrysler as a whole, Chevrolet was negotiating hard to get just Jeep. I heard someone mention some foreign companies were interested also. Jeep is to grab as much money as they can while they can.

Wow! You sure seem like one pissed off guy regarding your Jeep.... maybe consider selling it, and moving on?
Sorry you feel that way.
It is not the vehicle it is the management of Jeep that has me pissed. Maybe I will get a Canoe Bull Dog when they come out if they can get better mileage.

You're actually better off without that engine cover. Just another thing to trap more heat on these already running hot engines.
Nope! Engine cover or hood pad has nothing to do with under hood heat deflection.the pad is a noise reduction barrier. Under hood heat has nothing to do with paint deterioration. Plenty of articles in Google land.

I didn't say under hood heat caused paint deterioration, that was the other guy ?
And yes, those items are for NVH

What happened to free speech
Freedom of speech is one of the most misapplied concepts. The 1st amendment is a Constitutional limit on the Federal Government's power to restrict free speech. It restriction also applies to state/municipal governments via Sec1 of the 14th amendment.

It should in no way be interpreted to imply that private citizens, companies, or non-governmental agencies restricting speech. In fact, individual rights to restrict free speech in private venues should be celebrated. If you had a posting board at your place of business or home and I wanted to post something offensive there, should YOU be forced to host my speech because "freedom of speech"? Of course not.

Obviously we want to create an environment that allows people to say what they want and speak their mind but on the other hand, it isn't a "right".

I understand Jeep has the right to make changes without notice on stock order vehicles. They lose that right on a special order vehicle. I should been notified. If you plan on trying to defend Jeep to me do not respond.
Where did you get this from?

I can just see the guys on the assembly line ... "hold up everyone, we gotta call John Benoit to make sure he's OK with this ..."

It’s quite obvious Stellantis/Jeep does not care what customers think or feel. Buyers keep coming regardless of price increases and despite a large number of unresolved defects (paint, electrical, lockers, etc). Jeep is constantly rated poorly for reliability and quality. It just doesn’t matter to them. Perhaps they will soon face serious consequences for such neglect as their profitability relies on an overpriced yet increasingly stale product line.

To the OP: you are not unique; they treat all their customers poorly; don’t waste another moment thinking about it.

I wasn’t talking about the guys working on the line. Jeep knew what they did and could have notified me before the Jeep was built. It took them 3 months before they built it. Jeep didn’t want to lose the sale. Jeep doesn’t care.

When FCA was trying to sell Chrysler as a whole , Chevrolet was negotiating hard to purchase just Jeep. I heard some else mention that foreign companies were also trying for just Jeep. FCA wanted to sell Chrysler as a whole. In steps Stellantis.
That’s not how it went. “FCA” wasn’t trying to sell “Chrysler.”

FCA, the entire FiatChrysler entity, was looking for a merger partner. Marchionne had approached GM, but GM wasn’t interested. Particularly because Exor, the investment holding company for the Agnelli family (the owners of Fiat) wanted to retain a controlling interest.

Stellantis didn’t “step in” either. Stellantis is the result of the merger between FCA and PSA (i.e., Peugeot).

In the final merger agreement, PSA retained executive control (i.e., the CEO comes from PSA), while Exor retained investor control, via the Chairmanship.

The Italian and French governments retain representation in Stellantis through Fiat and Peugeot, respectively. However, the American side has ZERO representation.

The latter is a key part of the reason why Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler and Auburn Hills at large, are being milked dry to the very last drop, and why North American workers, dealers and customers are being treated like garbage.

FCA was trying to sell The Chrysler Group prior to the merger. Chevrolet was negotiating hard to try and buy Jeep prior to the merger you are talking about. Why do guys always think you know everything about everything and you steer the thread away from its intent. You always try to prove someone else wrong. Who hacked my account and put op on my name plaque?

Your original post includes a wide variety of points, some of which are incorrect. That alone is going to invite fellow members to pull your thread in different directions.

Obviously Jeep hasn’t screwed you over yet. On August 7, 2022 I went to the Jeep website and built the specific Jeep I wanted to see if it was feasible. The extreme recon package read, 35 inch tires, 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding front suspension parts, upgraded front axle, tail gate stiffener and fender extensions. On August 8, 2022, I went to the dealer and ordered my new JL. A little after ordering it, the price went up $6000. Jeep decided to start deleting parts after that,
engine cover, insulation panels on the roof and who knows what else. After driving off road and having a harsh ride, I looked at the bump stops on the front axle. They are 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict the upward movement of tires so it doesn’t hit the fenders. After investigating, what I actually got was a stock Rubicon with 35 inch tires and bump stops 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict upward movement of the tires so they don’t hit the fenders. I looked up the part numbers of the springs for a stock Rubicon, and that is what is on my jeep. Besides that, the vent cap for the transfer case is on top of the top of the transfer case not a hose running to the back of the intake manifold. It measures out at 27 inches not the 33.6 water fording height Jeep claims. When I brought all this to Jeeps attention, their response was that’s how it is supposed to be. It has been to the dealer twice and they won’t fix it.
They are probably tired of complaints about Jeep refusing to do warranty work. Jeep knows their time is limited and are trying to build as many vehicles as they can and make as much money as they can before that day comes, and it is coming.
I understand Jeep has the right to make changes without notice on stock order vehicles. They lose that right on a special order vehicle. I should been notified. If you plan on trying to defend Jeep to me do not respond.
I remember when I had my second oil change and happened to notice no engine cover. I went back to the dealership and they thought they screwed up. They said they would look for it. When I got home I read that Jeep deleted it. I drove back up to the Jeep to inform that Jeep just eliminated it for my year. I really didn't care. It has never affected anything on my Jeep. Probably better to not have plastic on top of the engine anyway. To this day, this is the best Jeep I've ever had and I've had 6. I swore off them after death wobble in 2019. I went to the 4 Runner and it's by far a better built and reliable vehicle, but I love to modify my vehicles and the Jeep is a way better platform for that. I also don't think Jeep cares about your survey. It sucks that you are unhappy with your vehicle, but you can just trade it in on something that fits your needs better. I would suggest the 5th Gen 4 Runner. Good luck.
