Oops! JD Powers just invited me to do a survey on my Jeep. I told them the truth and gave Jeep a poor score. Jeep Doesn’t Care. The first I tried posting, JL forum wouldn’t post it. What happened to free speech

Unfortunately on this Forum or most other websites, the owner of the site can tell you what you can and cannot post. Just look at FB. A private entity does have say over what you post. Basically your only option is to not use the website...

I'm speculating that you don't understand what free speech is. Hint: it has nothing to do with private sites like this one.

How is that unfortunate? I doubt if many of us would be here if it was a free for all.

Obviously Jeep hasn’t screwed you over yet. On August 7, 2022 I went to the Jeep website and built the specific Jeep I wanted to see if it was feasible. The extreme recon package read, 35 inch tires, 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding front suspension parts, upgraded front axle, tail gate stiffener and fender extensions. On August 8, 2022, I went to the dealer and ordered my new JL. A little after ordering it, the price went up $6000. Jeep decided to start deleting parts after that,
engine cover, insulation panels on the roof and who knows what else. After driving off road and having a harsh ride, I looked at the bump stops on the front axle. They are 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict the upward movement of tires so it doesn’t hit the fenders. After investigating, what I actually got was a stock Rubicon with 35 inch tires and bump stops 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict upward movement of the tires so they don’t hit the fenders. I looked up the part numbers of the springs for a stock Rubicon, and that is what is on my jeep. Besides that, the vent cap for the transfer case is on top of the top of the transfer case not a hose running to the back of the intake manifold. It measures out at 27 inches not the 33.6 water fording height Jeep claims. When I brought all this to Jeeps attention, their response was that’s how it is supposed to be. It has been to the dealer twice and they won’t fix it. Jeep doesn’t care.
When FCA was trying to sell Chrysler as a whole , Chevrolet was negotiating hard to purchase just Jeep. I heard some else mention that foreign companies were also trying for just Jeep. FCA wanted to sell Chrysler as a whole. In steps Stellantis. They are probably tired of complaints about Jeep refusing to do warranty work. Jeep knows their time is limited and are trying to build as many vehicles as they can and make as much money as they can before that day comes, and it is coming.
I understand Jeep has the right to make changes without notice on stock order vehicles. They lose that right on a special order vehicle. I should been notified. If you plan on trying to defend Jeep to me do not respond.

You're actually better off without that engine cover. Just another thing to trap more heat on these already running hot engines.
Have you ever seen an old jeep’s hood? That’s because all the heat burns the paint off. That is what the engine cover was put there, to direct the heat away from the top of the hood. The point was, I paid for the engine cover.

Just like Jeep I don’t care how you feel.
See, you actually have a level of freedom of speech here. Deviate from what's allowed (or, in theory, at the whims of the admins) and it's taken away. No First Amendment violations whatsoever.

Well.... I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on that. Mine also came without the cover, and well, my paint is just fine.
And I've had two CJ's over the years. No engine covers, and no burnt paint.

Wait about 10 or so years if it lasts that long.

Didn't even get a JD Power survey after buying a new Wrangler last year, even though I got one for buying my last vehicle. Hell, Jeep didn't even send me a fucking email or postcard saying "Hey, thanks for your business asshole."

I love my new JL, but the current Jeep brand is greedy, ungrateful trash without the quality to back up their pricing and attitude. Jmo, of course.
