I like this... wonder if there's a more engineered solution that mounts a fire extinguisher here.

Installed the H3R-MX250B extinguisher on the H3R-NB300 quick release mount. Worked perfectly on that flat trim panel between the rollbar and the side window on the hard top. It’s accessible from both the back seat, and the tailgate area:

I got this 3-compartment trunk organizer off amazon. It fits in the rear with the seats up perfectly. I keep mine tight towards the passenger side and it gives ample clearance for the door latch.

I keep cleaning gear, work gear, and emergency gear in each of the 3 compartments. it has grippy feet and doesn't shift around at all

I have a similar one with a cooler. It also has straps for the tie-down loops, which can be helpful when it's filled with bourbon and/or beer. Folds up nicely when not need, too.

After I ditched the rear seat I put this together as a daily driver cargo organizer.

I was going to install a shelf, made of either plywood or aluminium. The thing is, that my wife likes to push her seat back on a long drive, so the shelf cannot be made of a hard material.

Therefore I used a net to make a shelf. It is designed as quick release for easy removal. The other benefit is that things don't move around as they get caught by the net.

I made a couple shelves.

Carry two fuel containers on DIY aluminum plate.

EBay $40 aluminum RV roof rack that weighs 6 lbs. and easily modified to fit a JL's roof.

I found a damaged bicycle receiver carrier that has a tilt down, fold up feature and added it to a basket. Bicycle mount also raised the elevation of the basket for better departure angle.

and on my last ten day outing I simply removed the 4 seat bolts and put a plywood platform in place of the passenger seat. under the platform I carried pouched tools and straped a 45qt cool on top.

I like the way the Carry Rack folds up to give some protection to the fuel cans, and acts as a theft deterrent if locking pins used. Great " Repurpose"

I had the Tuffy Tailgate Box when I had my 2 door and it was very useful. I removed the tailgate liner to maximize space.

that is really cool - does it add extra rattle as you drive? is it well made and install cleanly? really like this! (sorry for all the questions)

I won't use the rear seats very often so when i get my 2dr with softtop i plan to install tuffy deck. It's for that extra peace of mind when going on road trip to the mountains or wherever, leaving jeep in a parking lot while having lunch etc.

I wouldn't leave anything valuable in it overnight though. I've had enough stuff stolen from my past jeeps going back to the 1980s to know that if a thief wants into a lockbox, they can be pretty determined to get in.

I put one on and it works great. I use it with or without Hardtop on.

Seems to be the only one that is an actual cover not a cargo area mat when you search for covers.

I like that it works with the rear seat in all positions.

Hi Brian, it is very well made and solid. I installed it directly on the tailgate (removed the plastic tailgate cover) to save space. I put insulation tape on these sections of the tailgate to prevent rattles and scratches (re-posting the pic):

I did notice a slight rattle when going over bumps so I put a little foam tape in the upper corner where the lid met the box and it never rattled again.

Are there any options for a secure rear area in a 2dr? I see the Tuffy that bolts onto the tailgate, but I'm looking for something like the Tuffy security deck for the JK that provides a fully enclosed area that you can't access without being able to open the tailgate...
