What would make you think someone got banned for politics but never posted about politics? Those posts would obviously have been deleted.

I think he relayed being suspended for politics himself despite not posting anything political.

Oh they do. We reamed Oracle a new one and they deleted them.

Oh Ive had posts in our secret dungeon that have been deleted that were critical of sponsors parts in the past.

True enough, but that went on much longer than expected before deleting the threads that were in there, and even then, some of the critical ones to them remain in there, still. It was primarily the offensive and silly ones that really got cleaned up.

Haven't read the last 50 pages, so just jumping in here. But the only reason I bought a Jeep was so I could wave at other Jeeps and play with little rubber duckies. And after giving it a good wash (the ducks and the Jeep), I make a nice mud puddle in the yard with the garden hose after I'm done and splash a little onto the sides.

Really makes the other Jeep Guys wave back with more enthusiasm!

Quite possibly, but his perception of something being political might not exactly match what others think. To quote our own (and apparently very wise(?!?!?)) @Terrymo:

Ok to take 3 steps back and straighten out the conversations.

My Oracle posts in the off topic section of the forum were not deleted, there were other posts about other sponsors that were when I made posts that could be considered critical of them.

The posts in the oracle written articles thread were deleted and then I called them out on the posts getting deleted and the issues I personally had with them were resolved. Doesnt make them a company I would ever want to do business with tho.

As I said above, I have received two strikes for “politics”, when neither offending post discussed politics at all. A third strike results in banning.

Since it’s happened to me twice without explanation, it seems reasonable to assume it happens to others as well.

If I’m suddenly banned, you’ll know it probably happened to me again, but I’m telling you right now that I have no intention of ever discussing politics here or on any other forum.

I could see how discussions of crime and other social issues, especially as it relates to specific cities / states along the West Coast could devolve into something that the admins might perceive to be political. I could be completely wrong (as always), but that seems to be your MO. Is there any chance those discussions became the offending topics?

Talking politics while not "talking politics" here is a fine line that can be challenging to not cross.

But yeah, my apologies for missing the part where you said you were the one that received the two strikes. I completely misread / missed that and stupidly thought you were talking about other forum members.
