Once warranty is up I'll still be installing the auto start stop eliminator but the thought of having to crawl under there and unplug it everytime it goes to the dealer during warranty isn't appealing to me, so until then I'll probably just deal with the light.
You don't have to wait until your warranty is up to install. I could be wrong, but the ASS eliminator is not like a Tazer and does not have to be removed before going to the dealer. I had a similar product installed before I got my Tazer and never removed it.

Or you can get lucky like me and it just stops working. My Aux battery is fine so can't figure it out, it just doesn't engage anymore. Been that for the last 6 months

I wouldn't think so either but the dealer where I'd have to get warranty work done, we don't exactly have the best relationship so I'm not sure how mod friendly they would be. I know the device wouldn't have any ill effects, just don't want to give them any reason to deny anything. Had a few electrical gremlins on our last jeep we had to work through under warranty, and most involved the crappy battery or bad electrical connections. The other area dealer I wouldn't let work on a bicycle so I really only have the one as an option.

Is there a way to remove stop/start function on 2022 JLU?
If you don't have a Tazer or similar... you can spend $50 - $100 depending on brand and get an ESS eliminator . This way you don't have to pull fuses or alter the vehicle in any way other than installing the module (installation is just like a Tazer/basically).
I like not having to push the button to turn it on/off , plus if there is a need to use the ESS, I just turn it back on. So far I haven't had any battery issues (fingers crossed)

If you wrap it in cloth tape and tuck it away, they will never know it's there. Just enable (by pushing the button) the ESS before you leave it or take it to the dealer.

This may be the wrong area for this. I have a 2023 Jeep JL. I ordered a auto stop eliminator when I went to install it. I found the security gateway module on my vehicle is not were the video stated it would be. I think I found it, but holding up install until I hear back from Auto Stop Eliminator. Anyone have issue like that on 2023 Jeep Wrangler JL.

I purchased the Autostop Eliminator harness, which creates a memory function for the non-ratcheting ESS dashboard button. It remembers if ESS was on or off when the vehicle is shut down, and reproduces this condition when the driver restarts the vehicle. Thus, the default ESS On condition from the factory is overridden.
I’m looking at this for my 2020 Willys. Was the install straightforward?

Personally, I would return that knock off offering if you can. It is a so so offering as on occasion it is known to hiccup.

Most here on the forum that have purchased such an offering, went with the original SmartStopStart.

For the same price you can buy an SmartStopStart unit. Sold by a fellow JL owner. Also, SmartStopStart is forum sponsor. The SSS offering NEVER hiccups!

Your knock offering connects at the security gateway as the SSS unit does. See pic that shows gateway the connectors to use circled in red.

I disconnected my hood switch and it did not disable the remote start.
Depends on vehicle configuration whether remote start is negatively impacted. You do get the EVIC warning and can/do get other incidentals.

Very straightforward. My only quibble was having to contort myself in an odd angle when making the connection at the security gateway module under the dashboard. That was once and done, though, and the ESS defeat harness is well-hidden.

Another way to disable S/S is to throw the Auto trans into Manual mode before stop light. If you like to row gears, the manual mode is very responsive and just like driving a manual without the clutch.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to disable this feature? I am just ignorant as to why and would appropriate the knowledge.

Owner preference. I've the same harness in my Jeep. It's a convenience item that creates, or forces, a memory function for the non-ratcheting dashboard switch. The collateral effect is reduced wear and tear on the starter and the battery, thus extending the practical service life of each.
