Evic warning on all the time is one issue.. Looks like heck.... is distracting and it can mask other Evic warnings that could be critical. The main reason why it’s not recommended is that it can mask other issues by having the warning indicator on all of the time. If disabled with tech and the stop start not available light comes on it can be an early warning for a week battery. Other than that I ran mine with the sensor unplugged for a while without any issues.
I LOL at people who place black tape over the Evic warning light region to mask warnings.. You can't fix stupid..
.....also depending on the vehicles configuration you can have other issues.
For one, Remote Start not working has been reported by a few people... Again depends on the vehicle configuration.
Then you have the issue when the vehicle goes to the dealership for work.. Tech's WiTechll will cry foul so to speak. Tech will spend time trying to figure out why which costs you money as you pay for his time..
In some states there will be an issue when it comes to State inspection time...
Anyway, disabling ESS by disconnecting that plunger is a lame lame way to deal with ESS.
