I have a $1K deposit on a Rivian truck, but thinking I'd rather have a Nacho Rubicon 4xe. Not going to drop the Rivian deposit until we know the pricing though.

Did anyone see where the 4eX option was actually listed on these pricing docs? I sure didn't.

Foul!
The 2.0 turbo PHEV (ECX) is the 4xe powertrain. It's listed on the left side, not as a separate option.
What's messed up about the options list is that so many items there are double listed, like "Steel Bumper group" and "Steel Front bumper" and "Cold Weather package" and "Heated Mirrors" and "Remote Start".

The whole pricing speculation is fun, but the only way these builds reach $80k is if dealers try gouging first-takers. I would think a nearly loaded Rubicon 4xe would sit around $62,495, whereas a same-optioned non-hybrid variant would be $57,895.

Look at a simple Ford Fusion hybrid. You can get an SE for lie 25K. But if you want the Energi, you start with a titanium, so the differential is like 12-13K. That differential from standard hybrid to plug in hybrid.

Can you ask him if they still plan on producing the JPP Jeep? I guess it won’t be JPP20 anymore, but how about a JPP21?
Im going to show my ignorance here, but what is the JPP Jeep?

Marketing. LOL

The basis for the JPP 20 is a Wrangler Unlimited Sport S painted either Ocean Blue or White and powered by your choice of three available engines, including a turbo four, a V-6, or the EcoDiesel. A few key options come standard, including the technology, safety, towing, and heavy-duty electrical packages, as well as an automatic transmission. This adds up to a $40,775 cost basis with the entry 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine before any Mopar gear or other factory options are added.

No way $22,000 more than a like equipped 2.0l. Why bother building...even with a 7,500 tax credit.

I'm not at all clear on what you're saying. I'm comparing the 4xe Rubicon with a non-hybrid loaded Rubicon. $63k-ish for the 4xe loaded (which it looks like it will require) compared to $57k-ish for the non-hybrid variant, which was the msrp for my Rubicon. That's roughly a $6k difference. Where is your $22k number coming from?
A loaded 2.0 Rubicon is easily $57k. A stripped Rubi with the 2.0 and an auto is $45k.

Given I just ordered a loaded Rubicon 4xe I'm really hoping this doesn't turn out to be true. Worse yet, I'm driving a rental since my JLUR Rubicon 2.0T was totaled two months ago. So I really hope I'm not in a situation where actual pricing gets released and I find out I should have just ordered another 2.0T which would have been here by now...

It isn't going to be $20,000 more than a standard Rubi.
