Not sure if you've seen @bodhi 's 4xe rear seat delete custom platform thread but there's a serious lack of similar for the 4xe. I'm preparing to cobble my own together following his blueprint but I'd be thrilled to find a comparable commercial product that accomplishes the same result but has...
I put a Diode Dynamics 30" amber light bar on the rear of my JL using their hinge mount kit for similar reasons. It's a static light but I really like the way yours is configured.
Checking out the lighting zones link now, thanks. This is my project Jeep so I'm constantly thinking about improvements, but other than "it just doesn't seem bright enough" I don't have a specific problem. First world problems, I know!
I hear you all about the glare on the hood. Flex Era 4's might be overkill as ditch lights, which I was thinking of. Mostly I have some extra unexpected money to spend, but no particular problem to solve other than experimenting. My 2-door JK will get the hand-me-downs.
So I have a pair of Rigid D2 side-shooter lights mounted to the bull bar of my Arcus stubby bumper. Works fine, but I keep thinking I'd prefer to switch to LP6's for the stellar light output. I'm just concerned that the LP6's mounted on the same Rugged Ridge X-mounts will stick up too high...
If you need it inside the Jeep while traveling it's only going to go lengthwise, maybe hang it from inside the roof? Outside with a RTT I can only think either strapped to the side of the RTT, on top of the RTT, or vertically on the tailgate alongside the spare tire, like traction boards.
Was looking for a solution myself, came across this two-month old thread. If the switch covers are removable it would seem to be a fairly easy 3D print. I have a printer and the correct PLA/PETG to make a switch cover, but my 3D CAD skills are non-existent. Also don't know if the caps are...
I was an early buyer of the 4xe Teraflex rear tire carrier and at the time they didn't have a solution to retain the rear speaker so I deleted it. I haven't felt compelled to revisit it since...
UPDATE and SOLVED. I have an appointment tomorrow at the local CDRJ for an evaluation, and switched the corner dash speakers back to OEM so they couldn't say it was my upgrade. And ... then it worked. When I originally installed the Kicker replacements I didn't understand the use of the provided...
To be honest my wife took over the vehicle a few weeks ago and I just noticed the muffling, so it may have been a while. And if it’s expected to sound muffled when the fader is isolated to the front speakers, I may just have misplaced expectations. Two years ago I had replaced the...
Hello. 2021 4xe JLUR with the Alpine premium stereo. The channel proportioning seemed off and I used the Uconnect audio settings, fader, to only use the front speakers (dash/knee speakers.) Even at full blast the sound is muffled. Putting the fader back to center restoring the rear channels and...
If your Jeep is otherwise perfect except for the color, you could wrap it any color or pattern you want for less money than the costs to trade-in. I'd recommend against hydro-dipping it though.
So is that ARB Snorkel then certified for installing on a 4xe? (I mean, nothing modified for the hybrid 2.0L turbo engine interferes with installing it?)
Also, what is the weight of the vehicle with all that installed? Thanks.
I suppose there are benefits to that rig in very specific use-cases, but because its a trailer and the tow vehicle isn't similarly protected they're violating the first rule of defensive combat, "get out of Dodge" before relying on all of that. Still, if you have the loose cash just laying...
