Not according to Autoweek. The 2.0 has a larger gas tank.

"It comes down to fuel tank size. EcoDiesel-equipped Jeeps get an 18.3-gallon fuel tank; assuming you average that 25 mpg EPA combined figure, you’re looking at a 450-plus-mile range. Gasoline-powered four-cylinder Wrangler Unlimiteds are fitted with a larger 21.5-gallon fuel tank, which, given the 22 mpg combined fuel economy, yields a 470-plus-mile range. Standard 3.6-liter V6-powered Wranglers should do 430 miles or so."
Stupid 2-door... 17.5 gallons :crying:

My long-term dream is to drive my JLUR all over the world, so I wanted something reliable and easy to fix. The 3.6 without etorque fit that bill the best.

If any of you are worried about gas mileage from this engine, there's a thread on the JT forum about how to increase this pretty significantly.

That ESS battery might not be too common in some parts of the world. It is know to leave people stranded. Double check or replace both the main battery and ESS battery before you leave.

3.6 good old tried and true v6. Wasn't stoked that the owners manual recommended premium grade 91+ for the 4 cylinder turbo. Fuel economy savings negated imo.

Also not stoked about the etorque stuff but oh well.

But if you had to fix it when traveling, I would think it would be better to have a 2.0. From what I've read the 3.6 is only offered in the United States, while the 2.0 is worldwide. It's even in the name: GME 2.0 stands for Global Medium Engine

Edit: According to Wikipedia, the 3.6 is offered in the JL in North America, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Wrangler_(JL)

True, but a lot of used FCA/Stelantis vehicles end up in many developing countries, the parts situation for that engine is surprisingly good.

That is precisely the experience I made. Mine was not disconnected during shipping, only the main battery was. Here they want 400$ for a new Aux battery ?

Yeah....don't get me started. Maybe that's why there is no 2-door Hemi? You would need gas every other day. LOL!
Fixed it for ya ;)

It was an easy decision by the biggest damn thing they make. I’m only pissed off because a month later they came out was at 392 and now I want to trade in the brand new 2021 Rubicon with a 3.6

Waited close to two decades for a 4 door diesel wrangler. So, 2020... Take my money.

3.6…never a doubt. I drove the 2.0, and really liked the feel…very peppy. But also very moped-ish. 392, Diesel and 4xe weren’t offered in 2019. So I went with a JLU Sport S 3.6 6M and love it. My son is 13. Probably going to sell it to him for whatever a JL Sport S 6M costs at the time. If they quit making manual transmissions, he’s just gonna have to keep riding his bike.
