I installed the Mopar break controller, took me about 3 hours. Most difficult part for me was getting in the footwell on the driver side and physically installing the controller box, the plugs and re-zip all the wiring. If you are tiny, it should be easy, if you are 6’4 and 250 pounds like me it...
I had a chat with a friend at ZF and he told me that one possibility could be, that the engine management and gear management work to bring the temperature of all components up to normal operating conditions as efficiently as possible. When cold starting, this could involve holding lower gears...
This is my first Wrangler, before that I drove mostly Audi, BMW and Mercedes, I expected to be in for a really rude awakening when switching to my 2020 JLUR. But, actually, I was positively surprised. While it is nowhere as quiet, refined or stable on the road. I find it much better than I...
I have searched to see if someone has posted this before but could not find anything specific.
I have a 2020 JLUR with pretty much all options (3.6l, automatic, hardtop). I am looking for someone who took their wrangler (of similar configuration)to be weighed and could give me some idea what to...
Installed the Mopar trailer brake controller on our JLUR. I am 6’4” and working in the driver footwell is torture! But with the help of my 5’1” better half and some swearing we got it all installed and running 🎊
Thanks for your reply, I had tested the sag by sitting myself and my better half in the trunk, seemed to sag by about an inch (we combine around 300 pounds), hopefully it won’t be much worse with a trailer. And yes, airbags had been something I was looking at.
I think water could get up to your hood even if you stick to the 33 inch wading depth limit. All you have to do is mess up an entry or hit a small hole while crossing. A brief wave of water over the hood should be doable with a snorkel, but without I would be worried. And yes, going through...
I am looking for some experience from people towing with their Wrangler. I have a 2020 JLUR with the 3.6l engine. It is not lifted, and the only heavy additions are some rocksliders and a winch. The Jeep will stay within the 850 payload limit including tongue weight.
I am planing to tow a...
We took ours to Africa (same employer), loads of fun, make sure to take a spare aux battery, the shippers did not know to disconnect mine and it was DOA. (Replacement price here 400US$ for some strange reason…)
Ours being picked up
Looks like under paint corrosion to me, I might be wrong, but if that is the case there is nothing you yourself can do about it. You will need to make a warranty claim to get it repaired.
Trying to reset the oil life after oil change. With the tazer connected it fails to reset. If I remove the tazer I can reset it, but after plugging the tazer back in it reverts to the old values.
I updated the tazer to the newest firmware version but issue persists.
Has anyone else encountered...
