Pick your friends Jeff, I'll pick mine. This was my response i was typing replying to the thread that got shut down.
just like in real life there are some people who you don't want to hang out with....100% I would wheel with Terrymo based on his forum replies (forum personality nuance.)...he can give and take shit and would fit my group.....guys like Andyspill nah I would have no interest in meeting him based on his replies...not meant to be a dig or insult to Andy in any way just a fact based on his forum personality nuance...
I must say, it's ironic for me that you have an issue with my replies, when you're replying here to another thread that got shut down (not be me) that moderators clearly wanted no further comment on, but in an act of the very "self restraint" (not) you'd prefer to see in me, you thought you'd add your 2 cents here on that closed thread just the same.
For me the hypocrisy is so huge I don't have the tools to cut thru it. And sadly, if the cost of my friendship with you is laughing at some off topic, off color pictures, okay, but too expensive for me.
Humor, even non-offensive? This forum's former king (rhinebeck01) had some choice private messages about that for me, so I guess "you can't please everyone."

This was my opening "salvo" (not). My long "nuclear bomb" (not) of a post. Strap in:
" Curious, has anyone heard of or experienced a dealership denying service on a factory dual AGM battery JL simply because the owner presented the vehicle with a disconnected Aux battery and Fuse 42 setup (or, effectively the same thing, a fused jumper from N1 to N2 in the PDC)? TIA "
In most worlds this would be the most harmless "yes or "no" question you could imagine. Just a guy asking if people have been turned away from dealers because of this. Relevant? Sure.
Was I the one that initiated asshole responses to my own OP (no)?
Plenty of people who did this bypass, of which I am not one, now have old Aux batteries that won't take charge, so putting things back to factory before service isn't exactly an option: that Aux paradoxically enough, potentially destroying the main battery as a result of restoring things to "factory" and creating a service issue as a product of putting things back in anticipation of (wait for it) the initial service issue reason they went into the dealer for in the first place.
And sorry, but sometimes, for some fixes, you just have to visit a dealer, not your trusted mechanic.
A fair number of people here asked reasonable questions and even challenged me and got reasonable answers. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/has-it-happened.154662/post-3195530 A fair number of private messages commiserated with why such a benign question would stir up such "douchosity" in others.
I have a follow up question for the masses Jeff, sure to still up the emotions.
"Do people prefer driving their Wranglers at night or during the day?"
Everyone take out their flame throwers.
