Mine was done correctly this morning in about 30 minutes. I only drove it home, seemed fine. Not really sure I ever noticed an issue.

Attached is a photo from underneath. Not sure it will help with reference.

Can someone post a pic of how it's supposed to look then? All the pictures here show it backwards lol
If the arrow is on the top pointing toward the rear of the Jeep it's backwards.

Arrow should be on the bottom facing toward the front.

I got mine done yesterday and it's as bad, if not worse, than before. Got the "E" version. Went ahead and bought the Falcon 2.2 since I don't feel safe when driving on the highway.

So get this, I went into the dealer last week to make an appt to drop off 8/26 @3pm get a rental for a day, as I was told it would take a day for my work.

Tuttle Click Jeep Irvine (My time was wasted for two visits, so customers should know)
  • V41 Safety recall
  • TSB# 02-003-19 - Vehicle wanders and requires constant small steering corrections. his bulletin involves replacing the front track bar.
  • TSB# 18-041-18 Rev B October 16th 2018 - Excessive Blower Fan when AC is on
  • STAR case # S1608000150 - Buzzing from speaker
  • Driver window groans 3/4 going down
Never got a call today, called 2x and left 1 VM, no return calls.
I showed up dropped off loaner
went to service to find out not only was it not done but no one had touched or looked at it in 24hrs.

I was not happy, I told them I was driving off with the vehicle since the could not complete the work promised. This is beyond stupid, if I ran a business this way I would not be in business. They have the parts needed, but decided I was not important enough to start the work. Why take my car and tell me 1 day?

I have spoken since with the Regional Service Manager and he has promised me that he will fix this and win me back as a customer.

Stay tuned for details...

Got mine done today. Seems like it's installed correctly as arrow pointing to front of Jeep. I also received a paper for "Proof of Correction" that states the dealership had done the correction. I was told to present that to DMV if they asked during renewal time.

Ok; V41 stabilizer was installed yesterday -- 2 things 1, the instruction sheet says the labels on some of these stabilizers are placed wrong. Use the bulge and green dot on the stabilizer to install correctly. The label on mine was incorrect. Tech talked to my friend of many years, who is the parts guy, and verified stabilizer was installed correctly. Originally the tech installed stabilizer with label facing front and called my friend over and told him it didn't look right. They looked over the instructions again and installed it with the bulge and green dot oriented correctly. - forget the label and use the green dot, bulge orientation.

I did notice the steering was tighter. I never really had a wander issue after I dropped the tire pressure from 42 psi factory to 35.- Duh - but steering does seem better after the install.

sidebar - the Mopar computer system shows 6 qts for 2018 JL's - my friend caught it and verified 5 qts were used on mine and changed his computer, using my vin to always use 5 qts. Oil is 0-20w -- are you serious?? 0-20w is insane but --- whatever - By the way - all 0-20w is synthetic --- my viper srt-10 is 0-40w so the 3.6 tolerances must be really tight. Most Chrysler's use 0-20w or 0-40w now so my parts guy has those in his bulk tanks.

Hope all this verbage helps -- Hee Hee :)

Mine steering stabilizer was installed wrong also, but caught it before leaving dealer. They were not happy with me and were rude that I nicly called them on it. The thing that irks me is I told the service writer about installing it in the proper position before they replaced it. Service writer said "oh ya we know how to install correctly. We have done this before" ...apparently not!

Why can't a service tech point the big arrow on the stabilizer in the right direction? Same with the oil... had 6 quarts in mine.

I must say I have zero confidence in these Jeep dealers. But really it's not just Jeep, but seems like everything nowadays is done with no care and a give a crap attitude.
Hi tk2fast,

Sorry to hear that this happened to you as well. Would you mind following up with us via PM? We would like to learn additional details of your experience so that we may formally document it within our internal systems. Hope to hear from you soon!

Absolutely MIND BLOWING that some stickers were installed wrong! Embarrassing enough a recall is needed for a simple damper and then this. A recall needed on the recall??? Hmmmmmm.......

By the way.... dampers have been used like this for decades, so still trying to grasp why all the sudden a design change is needed on something this basic. Anyone else confused by this?

Got the V41 performed on my Jeep today... they installed it per the sticker with the arrow facing the front. I guess that I now need to check the bulge ! I din’t drive It for very long, but it seems a did more firm.

They also ordered new track bars per TSB 02-003-19, I hope that I will no longer need to make constant corrections... it’s like if I was dancing with my steering :)

Dropped mine off for the recall- that's all they had to do. Got a text around 11 AM with a link for a video walk around - hood up, air filter out. Service guy was narrating trying to sell me all the the things I should get done while it's there, change air filter (only 16K miles), nitrogen charge the tires and get my state inspection done a month early. Tell them no, I'm good. Go pick it up and they even washed it.

You had one job.....
If they spent as much time doing the actual service as they did trying to enrich my "experience", maybe they would have got it right.

I literally had to go to the service bay and show them how to mount the part correctly because he couldn’t figure out how to make the arrow face forward lmao. Oh well it’s fixed. I watched him torque it all too cause at that point I had little trust lol
FCA has the worst techs in the industry. I have had GM, Ford, imports. None come close to the incompetence of FCA service techs.

I was told by a jeep dealer employee that FCA is so screwed up it is hard to get good techs and techs to stay because of FCA.

This is Tuttle clicks standard operating procedure. They are horrible.

I have gone here several times and had the exact same thing happen. The Jeep will sit in there lot for 24 hours before they even touch it. I have an OWL dash cam in the Jeep and I can see exactly when they work on it or not.

The service techs are horrible and will never call or return voicemails. Horrible dealer.

let me know if you find an alternative in SoCal. It’s worth driving farther to avoid tuttle click.
