Selling as I need a truck. I'm the original owner, title in hand with lien release. Daily driven, 80k miles, needs nothing, averages 17 MPG. Well equipped Sport with A/C, hardtop, Auto 8spd, cruise, PW/PL. Lots of upgrades, recent Rock Krawler Adventure X lift with 2.25 RRD shocks, 2.5...
NOT A FOR SALE POST! I'm looking for legitimate input on whether it better to sell/trade with wore out tires or replace them. I have 37" Milestar Pats on it and they are passable but need to be replaced soon. I can either do nothing and sell as is, replace the four in kind (5th spare is still...
For sale $1000 top cost $2,000 new, it's the high quality twill fabric. Includes all windows, frame and hardware. No issues or damage but the plastic windows show typical wear from normal use. ONLY FITS JL 2 DOOR no shipping, pickup only zip 12170
Drove from NY and wheeled in Moab and Colorado on 37s no issues (about 5K miles round trip). That said, all my steering is aftermarket and have a proper lift with corrected caster and driveline angles and 5.13 gears to accomdate the larger tires.
I have 37's on my 2dr and swapped the 4:10's (Sport with Rubi axle swap) to 5:13 before my cross country trip to Moab and Colorado this summer (4k miles round trip from NY). I was very happy with the setup. Some of the interstates were 80 mph out west though. I never felt unstable at that...
No, the stock stabilizer is not through shaft. However, I'm pretty sure it's just a hydraulic damper so it doesn't expand at rest so it wouldn;t cause a drift when going straight.
Your better off totaling a 2018 anyway with all the failing parts, recalls and TSBs. Pretty much all the gear linkages and box are junk and have been upgraded in subsequent years, recalled steering stabilizers, if it has limited slip it fails prematurely, poor welds on early '18 frames...
The brand of links have no effect on the handling, it's all in the setup of the geometry. When replacing the tie rod even a slight difference in length will effect the handling. And when you say it's pulling to the right - it's actually pulling and not that the steering wheel isn't centered...
I'm using just generic switches run through a fused relay panel in the engine compartment. You're kind of stuck using the Jeep brand harness and I think they are like $60 ea front and rear. On the upside though there is no computer control so I can lock front or rear on demand at any speed...
Pretty cool! I was there in '11 and got to go back in '19. The Jeep and overlanding had exploded compared to '11 - although I wasn't focused on Jeeps then like I am now. My hot rod was outside in he "Ford out Front" area. It's a Factory Five Racing component car I built and they took it out...
Well to be honest, they are 2.5" springs, but RK doesn't have a specific 2dr part number so I got 3.5" of lift out of them so I ended up getting the RK shocks for 3.5" of lift. I put it on the Metalcloak flex trailer and scored 800 and only had a little rubbing on the fronts...
