Called Lou Fusz Jeep in O’Fallon, MO. on Tuesday to schedule my recall work, and was told that I didn’t need an appointment! Per the service rep, it takes all of 5 minutes and they could even do it while I was having my oil changed on Friday. Come to find out on Friday, they cannot do it while I wait for my oil, and that I need to call and schedule an appointment. Further to that, supposedly they are only getting enough parts to complete 3-4 vehicles a week... not sure what that’s all about.

What a bunch of clowns.

The steering stabilizer is in limited supply so they are only allowing so many per dealers per week to order the parts so all dealers get some parts instead of a few dealers grabbing all of the inventory.

Does anyone know the new part number for the steering damper?
Mine was changed back in February and I think it is the older model.
I just want to compare and see if the one currently installed is the recommended
one

No DW (so far) only classic wandering but while it’s in for the next round of evaluation I might as well get this done too.

Well, it seems as though they received some parts and got me in today. Install was less than 30 minutes in total. Installed correctly too.

I got this V41 recall in the mail the other day..

Feel as though they wont want to mess with it with my synergy tie rod and synergy steering stabilizer clamp..and the whole front axle..lol.

Shoot, my steering stabilizer has rock rash on it as well. My steering still feels fine though so I really doubt the stabilizer is an issue.

I wonder if they will just give me the stabilizer so I can do it? They did that with the mopar lift spring wedges..hmm

Had mine done today and it really is a lot tighter. I, personally, didn't have a problem before, but I can really tell a difference from the build (12/6) damper to the V41 replacement.

@Juni , with all of the posts throughout the forum of this being installed incorrectly, can you confirm if TriCounty installed it correctly the first time? I am looking to schedule mine and they are local but I will go somewhere else if they are one of the dealers responsible for installing it upside down. Thanks!

I checked, mine appears to be installed correctly.

Use Craig as your service advisor, he seemed pretty knowledgeable about the issues my Jeep was having .
or ask for Brian the service manager, he's always been extremely kind and accommodating to me.

Mines exactly the same as yours. Folks Check your Oil and your V41 fancy dampers before you leave. I didnt and mines installed backwards as well.

I am being told by my local dealerships that they can’t even give me an ETA yet but will call me when they know more. Is the part available?

My steering stabilizer was installed wrong also, but caught it before leaving dealer. They were not happy with me and were rude that I nicly called them on it. The thing that irks me is I told the service writer about installing it in the proper position before they replaced it. Service writer said "oh ya we know how to install correctly. We have done this before" ...apparently not!

Why can't a service tech point the big arrow on the stabilizer in the right direction? Same with the oil... had 6 quarts in mine.

I must say I have zero confidence in these Jeep dealers. But really it's not just Jeep, but seems like everything nowadays is done with no care and a give a crap attitude.
