Thanks Andy! I looked at getting an element earlier on, until I read more on it. It seemed to not perform as good as
A traditional ABC. 20 minute mark:
Oof that's not good. It even catches itself on fire. I have one of these as well but after seeing some videos I don't think it would be very effective at all. It was suggested to me by my boss so I picked one up as a "just in case."

I also have one of these on my roll bar with a real fire extinguisher.

Here's my M.O.R.E. fire ext. bracket. They have both the driver's and passenger side mounts.

It bolts directly to the rollbar. There are two bolt holes on the outside of rollbar on each side and the mounting bolts are supplied with the bracket. No drilling necessary.

Any rattles when driving around town?

I 2nd the no movement! It does not shift, move, rattle, it's as solid as the salt of the earth....well, OK maybe I got a little carried away with that last comment. FYI, I had a scrap piece of black vinyl laying around the house, I decided to use, I was worried the hose claps might scuff the roll bar. You do not have to do this. This was just my brain being paranoid, my OCD kicking in. In my defense my jeep at that time was brand spanking new in the box. ;)

Best of luck my friend and btw I don't recommend products that don't work or just because it's what I have.

FWIW I am using this fire extinguisher holder as well. I like it quite a bit. I do not hear it rattle.

However, a couple of weeks ago I had the little Allen screw in the red release knob come loose the red release knob, fell out, and my fire extinguisher fell into the jeep. Thankfully I had the top on and thankfully I didn’t break a window. I adjusted the Allen screw but will be looking to loctight that in next time I take it off for service.

Based on this thread I ordered this from amazon the other day. Took 15 minutes to install (I put a rubber cushion under the hose clamps) and doesn't rattle at all. $23 on amazon, deal.

I have the American Adventure Labs version that uses a synergy hard mount to secure the fire extinguisher to the base.

The AAL aluminum mount that connects to the roll bar is great but the attached Synergy mount rattles like a mofo.

Do they make the AAL mount for the 2door roll bar?

I chased a rattle for a while thinking it was my Hilift jack, and it turned out it was the H3R fire extinguisher mount. I put a small strip of adhesive backed foam in the base of the channel in the mount to take out some of the slop and it’s dead quiet now. Something similar may work for you.

I ordered and installed the Brewer mount (2 door JL) I posted about earlier.
It worked with the bracket that came with my H3R extinguisher without any modification to either the bracket or the mount. The hardware provided with the mount also worked. I put a little blue loctite on the cap screws and called it good for now. Initial impressions are that it is ratel free, time will tell.

Anybody know the bolt thread pattern nomenclature for those C-pillar holes? {I assume I can go to Lowes and pick up some bolts that will thread in there...if so, what is the type I'm looking for?}

Anybody know if somebody makes a Hi-Lift bracket that would hold the jack horizontally behind the 2nd seats that utilizes these holes?

That's surprising. I've had them for years and the reviews I read at the time all show the fires going out instantly. That one didn't look like it did anything.

Still, I like the light weight and having one near the front seat (now in the pocket on the back of the passenger seat) and on the tailgate without having a 5lb tank hanging in the cabin ready to be a projectile in an accident. ?‍♂
